Cardboard Gear Solid: Fakers ReignD-Beast77 [View LBP.me page (http://lbp.me/v/wetsgd)]
Set as a parody to all the fake costume levels out there you take the role of an unnamed hero with your pilot Cpt. Ekans, to stop the fake prize bubbles at the source. However not all goes as planned and you end up unequipped and unarmed sneaking your way past deadly sentries and obstacles so that creativity may rule the cool pages once more.
My previous attempts at making a normal platformer level were kind of flops and i ended up taking one down. I'd really like some feedback on it making a normal level is a new thing for me. and i'd be happy to return the favor.

i'm halfway through this level as i start reviewing so the first part will be from memory
+haha i get it, "ekans" is snake backwards!
+nicely done forest. gives a good first impresion that this will be a well done level!
-i'd work on the camera angle or something at the air plane. i had a hard time seeing where i was going after i walked up that board that fell down. also, if you pull the time bomb to the right, it breaks. not a big deal but kind of wierd, lol.
+cool hatch mechanism for the underwater tunnel! it took me a couple tries to get under, though.
-again it took me awhile to figure out where to go after it says "high voltage" maybe add some lights so people see that there's something up there?
-took me a long time to figure out what the bomb was for after i pulled the lever under water. i suggest adding a hint of some sort. also where does the bomb come from? it looks like it just kind of appears out of thin...water
-what does the lever on the far right do in the room with the rolling fire logs? it made a noise but i didn't notice any change in the level
+cool door with the 3 layers.
+okay after you go up and the right and the back underwater i thought "haha he built this whole underwater section on the wrong layer, this is easy!" then i found the thing i had to bring back and i was like "oh...crap"
-it would have been cooler (in my opinion) to grab one of the cords to pull them together instead of the sponge
+i like elevator and the overall look of the base after you get in!
+i especially love how you used prize bubbles from the actual fake costume levels!
-i don't get to stop their reign of terror? :c maybe next level

overall above average looking level with minor design flaws that were mostly just the fact that i couldn't see where to go next, so maybe it was my fault, lol.
i gave it 5 stars because it made me want to play the sequel (if there's going to be one?)

Hi there! The level sounds fun (how can you not want to play Cardboard Gear Solid?), so I gave it a play. I'm writing this as I play the level, so you know:

First thing I notice is "source" is spelt wrong in the description (you put "sourse"). No biggy, but just giving feedback where I can. Fudge! That opening was good. I really liked it. The falling effect was very, very nice. The searchlights aren't very deadly at all, I got found and easily avoided the attacks. Having said that, the one at the mortar felt a bit unfair, because the only place to hide was the front layer, which also had a spotlight. If I'm being really picky, I also struggled a bit to see what the mortar was shooting, not much though, a simple light could remedy that. Again, another tiny wording error, the text near the plane could really use a new sentance in the middle (i.e "What a wreck. Won't be long before the scoutbots find this" instead of "What a wreck won't be long before the scoutbots find this"). Again, nothing much, but it's a small improvment that's very easy to fix, so you might as well. I really had no clue what to do with the bomb. Finally realised, some kind of hint would be nice. Waterfall is lovely, well done. Died as soon as I walked off the bridge, which was a tad annoying, but not too much, because there was a checkpoint right next to where I died. The underewater section looks lovely, but the bomb looks a bit odd coming out of nowhere, add a pipe or something for it to look like it's coming out of. Yet again I had no clue what to do with the bomb, or even how to detonate it. OK, got it, again, a bit of help would be nice. Dodging the fireballs was very fun, well done. Wow, nice door effect, I thought it'd just be pulled down Again, no idea what I was doing at the high voltage part, until I drifted up from typing this. So you know, the spikes and electricity are all useless, because water shoves the player into the front layer, right? They look like they're ment to be hazards, but you can just swin along. Ah, now I realise, don't worry. Very nice opening effect. Zomg, the evil factory! Nice effect with the fake costume prizes. And that's the end.

Overall, a really nice level, visually and gameplay wise. All you need to work on is making things a bit more obvious to the player, and you're done. Worried about making a good level? Don't be I gave :star::star::star::star::star:

For F4F, could you play my level Explosive Adventures please? Thanks.

Hi there! I played your level and I must say it's really neat.
I loved the underwater part where you had to drag the "key" trough the obstacles, really nice.
It's not a 5 star level but because of it's charm, parodying of the costume levels and a really neat ending I gave it 4 stars and a motivational heart.

I see potential in you, now go out there, buy LBP2 and make something 5 star worthy!

Hello folks...
First off, dont take this the wrong way but why is Bronch posting and promoting his level under your thread and why are you giving his review under here also???

Either way, here is your feed back:

Pros:
+Nice intro, plane setup was cool
+The binoculars was bad ****, loved it
+loved that you made an "anti-fake level" that actually had a soul and purpose to it

Neg:
-i remember one spelling error (surviors), i'm assuming you meant survivors
-the under water part where you had to bring the "key" back through the electrified obsticals was a little slow. The round drums rolled super slow and if the player died, he/she was start all over carrying the key and waiting on the drums

Summary: Fun, very well designed level that allows the player to vent on current LBP events. Good job and thank you for the create.

As for F4F, CREATURE CREATION TUTORIAL please (under my thread ) thanks.
