lol my insane new level! Uhh I don't know how to post more than that one picture sooo that's the only one I'm gonna post

Anyways, tell me what you guys think (F4F ) and uh yeah XD that's all....

wow i...love this level i was expecting it to be very amateur because of the crazy story but it was actually a great level! visuals way better than i could ever hope to make and very cool platforming sections!
you might want to give a hint or something when you grab the beaver of skills, saying that you have to race back to the beggining. because i just started running and jumping as fast as i could back to the start of the level and thought "hey what if i'm supposed to go somewhere else? that would suck if i had to play the whole level again because i went the wrong way..." lol

Hi there Morris, and can I say what a pleasure it was to play your game! I'm not a fan of the mm style platforming in LBP, and I can honestly say that I enjoyed your level more than ANY of the MM ones! Perfect flawless (almost) platforming and puzzles. It seemed to get harder as it progressed which was GREAT, nothing too taxing, and NOTHING that wasn't obvious. Nice idea to make you run back to the start, though I would have preferred a slightly more worth while ending.
OK, found two problems.
1. 'Random bance pad skills' obvious spelling error.
2. If you go far left on the ledge above the trees where the blocks that move that have the 'x' on their undersides to cancel the paint gun, you get stuck behind the tree LOVED this bit BTW (Jumping across, NOT getting stuck)
GREAT game, 5 stars and a well deserved heart!

If you could F4F my new level 'House of the flying diggers' that would be grand.

Returning the F4F here

This level was really good, it had really nice visuals, some good puzzles and a funny "story"
At first I didn't have too high expectations after seeing the first part and reading through the speech bubbles with the "story" but as I progressed I realized this level is very good. The platforming was good, I liked the spinning platforms with bubbles on the other side, I died quite a lot on those trying to get the bubbles. Some of the puzzles were good and others more or less grab a switch and then another but it wasn't bad. The x2 part was actually possible with one player, I think you also realized that since you put that speech bubble there, but anyways if you didn't realize it, it is possible to jump to the bubbles with bounce pad that takes you up.
I liked your attention to small details, especially at the part with the falling leaves.
The beaver that asked me not to grab him was just irresistable, I just had to grab him Great "easter egg"
Then there was that race at the end, that was the part that stood out for me. Really clever to have a race that goes back through the whole level that I just explored. It makes the level longer but doesn't add too much thermo. You could have emitted some bubbles there to make the race a little more exciting but it was great anyway.

Great level.
5 stars + heart.
Not only was the platforming good, it has lots of humor to keep it interesting.
The race back was a neat idea too.

I bet that everyone grabs that beaver. Ha.
Oops! I was so impressed I went to play your other levels ha. Shall be hearted tomorrow!

@ napero7: Thanks yeah, as you can see people always say they're not gonna expect much because of the story XD but then they end up loving it! And at that race, I really couldn't do anything... see, I was ALL out of thermo :/ I actually had to use the thermo glitch to finish it... sooo don't wanna overdo it XD

5 and hearted... even mentioned this cool level in my own level showcase thread... I plan on returning to better my score... and check out some of your other stuff...

So the level is really charming in a sincere and personal way... platforming, visuals, lighting, mechanics... all solid. Infact I only had two problems... The first, in the area where the jumppads on top of stalks protrude from the earth... I died like three times at the base of the first (i think) on the gas there... the other two did not behave in the same fashion. There's also an odd layer switch here but that's a minor thing! so my other complaint... (i'm winging it here, you're level was so involving I failed to take any proper notes!) Was this section done in green wood lit by green light?

If so? yeah I didn't like that effect so much... otherwise...

Hi Morris! Thanks so much for playing/reviewing Little Big Christmas. I took your suggestions -- I fixed the background around the chimney and added a checkpoint right before the toy car. Could you tell me which areas you thought looked bare? I think I can probably guess which ones, but I'd like your input. Thanks!!!!

On to the F4F.......I played That Search for More Skills and I must say that I am very impressed with your creativity. The overall concept was bizarre and, at first, I started to get annoyed with everyone talking about their skills, but it quickly won me over, especially when the really complex platforming started in. Very, very good level as far as gameplay design, but also very good as far as aesthetics. It was fun to play and pretty to look at. And the beaver at the end was very funny.

+ The waterfall was gorgeous.
+ Rotating, spinning platforms were neat.
+The butterflies were a nice touch, but it would be cool to see them travel along more complex paths. You're obviously good with game logic, so I'm sure this wouldn't be hard for you to do at all.
+ Fire-walking beaver was funny.
+ Unnecessary Points Room was a nice surprise, and also nice satire on level design.
- The bounce pad before the 2X room went haywire and killed me
+ Cool 3-part puzzle (the raising platforms)

And thanks! About that random bounce pad... well I actually knew about that, but I couldn't fix it but that only happens if you walk onto it, not jump. Sooo just jump on it next time

Hello Morris!!

I was wondering where you were. Looks like I found you over here in the ps3 section!

Anyway this level is great. This is one of the best levels I have played on lbp1 in some time. The story was great. I loved how you implemented the no skills problem. brilliant! The level designs were great. I can tell you spent alot of time on corner editing, and it shows. The lighting was very nice too. Puzzles were very well thought out, and I had a blast making it through this level. Well anyway, I am glad I found you. You made that psp level that totally impressed me a while back so I have been keeping an eye out for you. Looks like you have have been busy over here in ps3 world.

Great job man!

Forget about it and make something else XD but yeah I was on some kind of... QUEST to get the platinum trophy before LBP which I did! I am writing this as i am playing,

The scenery in th level looks fantastic! Also the self-made characters really add something special to the level. The puzzles are cool. I cant get over the scenery. It looks so well done. Haha the "Fast walking skills" made me laugh. Man, these puzzles are fun! Oh and at the part when you get 3/3 rocks, when you jump from the teleport side to the other, it takes you to the back layer and it kills you because of the gas under the platform. The "unnecessary" proze bubble also made me laugh and so did the "plasma kill skills". The race was such a great idea! Awesome! Great level. 5/5 for the scenery, and sweet gameplay.		2011-01-13 00:36:00

I played your level and I found funny, I like the levels using the 3 layers proposed by LBP bring me fond memories of when this story was just beginning, the design is very well done, the colors, the uses of the stickers, lights, barriers, and overall game-play is quite entertaining, did not imagine the surprise of this race became in the end gave him a speedy and competitive play during it.

I played this yesterday with zynax and Lockstitch, and when I got started I was like "what's this easy peasy sponge stuff, jokes and fantasy forest setting got to do with skills"... a few screens later, I commented that we were now The Search For Fail because we got our arses kicked alot, and it stayed fun the whole time. I really liked the look and polish of the level, and since I played it, I can't stop saying skills. Whenever I'm playing with somebody and they pull something slick off I say "skilllls" and whenever one of us fails miserably or retardedly, it's just a sarcastic "skills" comment. You either created an LBP meme via an awesome level, or at least an inside joke for me. I hope it's the former. 5 stars easy.2011-01-13 18:29:00

Pretty great level! Some cool platforming elements with a lot of moving obstacles. I liked the lighting especially, it was dark, but glowed green throughout all of it, which looked nice. I never would have thought you would backtrack through the entire thing! That really surprised me and I thought it was really fun. The decorations, with the trees, branches, and all looked quite realistic, and I had a good time playing this level. Also, this level totally tickled my sense of humor, your levels have kept me laughing, can never have enough humor in LitlleBigPlanet!

Oh thanks everyone I haven't been here in a while...

But there's something that happened to my level... LBP2!! DX it has scenically ruined my level.
No more glowing waterfall or butterflies... The fire now glows INSANLY! it's all ruined... But it still has the same gameplay lol
