House of the flying diggers

Archive: 32 posts

Hi all, been a LONG while since I was on here, and indeed LBP, feels great to be back!
Please note: This game has been updated, and have fixed ALL problems mentioned in the first three posts

So....'House of the flying diggers' huh? Ok, so you start off meeting BER-K, the henpecked robot, who asks for your help in getting him out of a sticky situation (He broke the vending machine). Soon after you meet DER-k the health and safety conscious flying ninja digger, and with his help, you sort out a few problems and allow the game to progress by fixing the vending machine and allowing BER-K the robot to follow you. He has a brain, and so he will follow you if you are with in range, and will need to lead him back to his house for him to open various doors and platforms on the way. (Don't want to give too much away at this point)
There is also a 2 player mini game called 'Digger wars' (though initially the entrance is blocked) where two players can both pilot their own flying digger and use it to take out their opponent.

(NOTE: This game is fairly reliant on text, so don't play if you don't like reading (though I've tried to go back to adding a lot of humor in this game like my old PSP levels, plenty of cheap gags and silly humor.)
I'll F4F anyone who can add some constructive criticisms/ideas, and any one who can take the time to write more than one line.
ENJOY!

WHAAAT!? You create on PS3 side now? No way! i'm a big fan of you PSP levels, and just got LBP PS3 for christmas. I had no idea! I'll definitely go play this and leave you a bit of feedback. Once I deliver it to you, will you please give me your thoughts on the topic on this thread? It's an example of advanced logic-based cutscene tools that are compatible with PS3 AND PSP versions, but made on PSP. Thanks!

- side note you wrote daggers in signature not diggers

Now loading - getting a very long load time

The robot reminds me of wall e - the cash machine made a lot of noise - and i almost gave up took like 20 tries of various length grab to get a coin.

Too me ages to realise there was a hole in the bridge I could go through.

Now i have some tasks done but the fact i get killed for no reason even if not boosting when in the digger is very frustrating, so is the left over bit of bas from where I had to explode - it kills me when I try and take digger in there.

The charge and emit a bomb is very sketchy, only works maybe 4 outta 10 times for me, and mostly that's when I am in mid air and nothing is around me.'

I cannot get anyway out of the digger besides dying I tried the multigrab thing but it doesn't do anything. Maybe if landing it on the pad would open the roof or something that would be nice. If I go slowly just to the left of the beam where the floor has a dip i get killed - sound like gas death but I can't see any - also most of the pillar blocks the way out so it s hard to take the tool chest out.

Tool chest fell when I got killed by descending gas - it fell in such a way the handle was inside the ventilation shaft so i couldn't grab it i thought i'd push and just bring it back out - fan mashed it.
http://i6.lbp.me/img/fh/046a99b1063095a5395e715616d333add7fd6eda.jpg

Starting over -

Much easier I know where all the issues are - however - berk trapped against the digger and was shoving me - got in a pile in front of the dog and couldn't get out - exploded.

Managed to get back in dinner - had to reverse backward as berk kept shoving forward - e got knocked over but I could right him so its ok.

Nearly chucked the controlled for the toxic waste cleaner part - ended up trying to grab in a hope of hanging on - first jump I cleared to last one which for some reason had none but there was one just sitting near check point - so maybe it was dislodged. Can't keep berk following as range of detection lower than I can manage to jump into being in the low section. Nevermind - hope he is electrocuted. Oh no jet pack to go fetch him.

Now I see from boss he is meant to be wall e - bit of a short fuse - if he is in trouble so then wants you to partake in domestic violence and murder of his wife. Makes me worry about you life experience of being locked out for doing the wrong thing... the comments as you got paint round the room ere good - made me want to shoot everything but her.

Had issues with ship and berk keeping pushing it over but eventually got used to the very touchy controls and not over steering and got to the top.

Sadly - never have I been so glad to see a scoreboard. The level looked pretty good, nothing ground break but quite nice. I think that you have been really ambitious with this, and I am surprised you could manage to make it work as well as it did, its very complex - but still I found it pretty flakey and this really distracted from all the cool bits. if I was not providing the f4f i woulda quit after 5min in the beginning and not come back.

4 stars for you effort -if i was rating on fun i would have given it 1.

Hey,
I really liked the Idea and the "different" Gameplay - that was unique and very funny! Also I was amazed to see, that Der-K had so many difenrent ways of usage - but that led to problems aswell (Troll_sk covered all the Problems I also had). Had to restart twice..for the first restart I managed to stuck the cog at the bridge...the second restart was because I stuck Der-K somewhay in the path to the Ventilation. Now I'm stuck again...the doorway to the scoreboard is closed and I went back to the main working area - not thinking about that when I wanted to come back, I needed Ber-K to help... so again restart (I hope I find a way to get to the scoreboard.. maybe I was missing something?)

Ok, I was missing Ber-K... The usage of the Airship was a bit tricky, but finally I was at the Scoreboard

For all these unique Ideas I give you 4 Stars.. 5 Stars for sure, if I hadn't have to restart severall times (I stuck Der-K also in the path to the boxes...).. also I was a bit shocked that I had to kill the wife...I mean: she was so beautifully created!

Really loved it, full of funny Ideas! The only part i wasn't testing was the digger-wars part, because I think the main gameplay is better with one player (maybe I am wrong ) And I also loved the look of it! Looking forward to other levels created by your hands

This level was really fun and original! I only had to restart once and that was because the bone for K8 could be broken just by touching it to something wrong. I got through the rest of it fine and found it to be full of different gameplay and ideas.

Some stuff I liked in particular:

The way you could pick stuff up with the digger. (How did you do that?)
The thing where you had to recharge the battery, really cool.
The funny storyline you came up with with Wall-E, EVE, and K9. It was really original.

I didn't try the two player mini game, in fact I'm not sure where in the level it is... I also couldn't try the end space ship because my friend hijacked it and flew away without me lol.

Overall really fun, I could see where people could get stuck in all the parts that Troll_sb mentioned, but luckily I didn't.
My suggestion would be to add in the description that its a one player level, it was a little hard multi-player, although doable.

5 stars and a heart! F4F: Fight for Justice... link is in my sig.

Hi all
I'll answer as I go, but too much to 'quote' so will just tell you what I've been doing.

First off, hi there Ricky, and thanks for the offline message. Glad you liked my psp levels, like I said, brought back all sorts of memories of when I first discoverd / made simple logic...seem to get a bit carried away with the logic now days

NOOOOoooow then Troll. Thank you so much for your open and detailed review, there were so many things I hadn't thought of / discoverd....here goes.....

1. Cash machine now spawns the coin instantly.

2.A green light now lights up on the bridge when the gap opens, and message changed to say k9 has opened the inspection hatch, think it is more obvious now?

3.Ok, the digger, you no longer DIE when in the digger, no longer have to grab the red button to get out (Glass window now opens as an exit) and the little bit of invisible gas that you mentioned near the tool box has gone, and a door is there instead that you need to shoot at to get to the tool box. (The reason the gas was there was so DER-K the digger was left up the top so he didnt get in the way of BER-K the robot later. Now speech expalains to leave DER-K the digger where the tool box is.

4. Gas where you explode the ventilation shaft has gone.

5.The battery bomb emmits fine every time I've tried it near the ventilation shaft (which is the only place you use it) so, sorry, I couldnt do anything about that.

6.The tool box is now grabbable from behind, so if it ever gets stuck in the ventilation hole again, people will be able to grab it.

7. Toxic waste cleaner bit...yeah can be tough if you grab the barrels when they are at their highest point as they dump the gas at the place where you grab them...think I'll add a magic mouth about that. As for not being a fourth barrel, thats deliberate.

8.The boss HAHA....funnily enough my wife left me about 8 months a go for another guy, so yeah a slight reference to my past relationships lol....though that wasnt the intention...subconcious mind. The idea was that Wall_e in the disney film was all in love with Eva, yet in reality, she turned out to be a bit of a pain in the butt

9. Space ship is no longer NEEDED to finish game as a jet pack has been placed near by.

Thanks once again, and I hope you will consider re-playing it, and that it is a little more fun?

Hi Janining, and thanks for your review, and a couple of extra pointers.
1. I widened the ventilation shaft in the hope you won't get stuck again. (Tried countless ways to try and get stuck but couldn't manage it.)

2.The bridge you mentioned that needs BER-K the robot to open now STAYS open, so you can back track if you want to (though don't need to)

3. I made the cog slightly lighter, and ajusted the background so the cog can't get stuck any more.

Thanks for playing!

Hi Sack racer, and thanks for mentioning the bone breaking, I tried to make it break for like five minutes but couldn't so sorry, I cant work out how to fix that.I also as you sugested, mentioned that the main game is best played single player.
Thanks for the five stars and heart, it doesn't seem to be doing too well with score or hearts, hope the updates help.
Now I've done this, I'll review your game

ANYONE want to play/mention the two player 'digger wars' section please, would like some feed back on the mechanics of the spawn.

Thanks to every one, keep smiling and playing, Shade_seeker.

Hey, just played the level and it was amazing! Heres some feedback.
Grahics: Incredible, the robots were of substantial quality, and your corner editing was spot on! You managed to give a great look to every bit of the level, no corner left out . I also enjoyed how you covered all the checkpoints with those rotating rocket decorations!
Gameplay- Honestly, I had a pretty tough time with the gameplay. I know that you can only do so much with logic, and what you managed to do I recognize and understand that with complex levels like this it's hard to get everything to work like you want, but it took me about 45 minutes+ to finish this level up, where if everything worked great and it was all explained perfectly it's take about 18-20min. In the mining robot (I at first played the game about 12-14 ft. away from TV, but later had to move closer to see everything), I had a real hard time grabbing the red side becasue it was too close to the part you grab to shoot. When I successfully grabbed it, I couldn't tell becasue the red LED was too small and I didn't notice it for a while. I also didn't know you had to scoop it, I at first tried sitting on the trash to pick it up, and after a few minutes I got the idea to try the shovel. Lastly, that trash cleaner was way too hard to maneuver, it took me about 10 minutes in all and about 25 deaths to finally figure out how to closs it. Maybe larger platforms and a bit slower speed?
I would like to accomplish you on you other gameplay though. The beeva bossfight was very fun, and I noticed how you scoop up the plasma and it detaches when you get in range of the disposal. Did you use a set/reset and the magnetics logic? Great job getting what you did to work perfectly, this was a VERY advanced level.
Story: Pretty original, I liked the Wall.E spoof. I actually didn't figure it was one until the robot started following me , yes I'm a bit slow sometimes.
I gave this level 5 stars and a heart, and I'll give you an additional creator heart next time I get the chance. Well done and I eagerly await your future creations!

Also, I responded to your post on my thread, the link back to it's in my signature. I'll PM you when I get a level tutorial out since you showed interest in it. Thanks again!

Hey,
played it again, now everything worked fine and smooth (not even I managed to get things stuck in the strangest places!). So now, for all this original Ideas and all the different functions of things (Ican't even imagine how hard it must have been to get everything to work out!) I had to give 5 Stars and a heart!

Hey, thanks for the comment on C&E5.

Just played this, thought it was a good level with some neat, original ideas. Here's some of my comments/suggestions.

I had some trouble knowing where to go next, like finding the hole in the bridg, even with the green light there. Can't remember the rest but I was constantly wandering around. To remedy this I'd try to give the player more direction. Cameras/magic mouths can help, like right before you're supposed to go up through the bridge, have a camera angle that zooms in on the hole, and angled up so you can see you can go through.

The digger was a little hard to control and I also had some trouble 'charging' it and getting the dynamite.

Here's what I'd recommend: make this level in LBP2! Seriously if you haven't played or seen it much in action, LBP2 has tools perfect for a level like this. I think if you remade it, or made a sequel when LBP2 comes out, it'd have some real potential. Good luck.

Hi Shade, I played this the other day but had a few issues with Der-K getting stuck, trying again today and great to see this is no longer the case. I'm having trouble breaking through the ventilator shaft though, I've charged up (all lights lit) but it wont break through no matter how many times I blast it. Restarted but I'm getting the same problem. Is there something I had to do before this? I cleared the toxic waste, retrieved the bone, raised the bridge and flicked the switch. I haven't found the tool kit but I'm guessing that comes later?.2011-01-06 20:35:00

Hi Ricky, and thanks for all your feed back. I've been working most of the day on new updates, I'll start with listing the corrections I made to your very helpful points.

1. The red light on the digger is far brighter and has a larger radius now I HAVEN'T moved the red button though, it's a bit complicated but basically, if there is any less roof, when you fly around, you die, so I have very little room to play with. Oh, and theres now a camera on the digger that zooms in slightly to make it a little easier to see.

2.I've now added in the text that you hold R1 to pick up the toxic waste with the front bucket....hope that makes sense now lol, I bet it was very frustrating for you he he.

3. As for the toxic waste cleaner Just before the boss fight,.....its GONE. BRAND new part instead, no platforming at this bit any more.

4. You mentioned the 'plasma' (you meant gas of course) on the toxic waste cleaner detaching when you grabbed a barrel, it was just simply gas on a piston attached to the moving platforms by a small piece of dissolve.

Thanks so much for the 5 stars and a heart, pm me when you have that tutorial vid for the PSP sorted

Hi there Janining, thanks for playing it again and thanks for the 5 stars and heart!!

Hi there Domik12, great to see you again! Hope you enjoy!

Hey TripleTremlo, thanks for playing, sorry you didn't like the game much (You didn't give it a score according to LBP.me)
I tried to take your advice and change quite a few things, here goes,,,,
1. The mouth zooms right in on the gap in the bridge now when it opens.

2.There is speech explaining in better detail how the battery charging/discharge works.

3. There is several new speech bubbles pointing out several things, and some other text in general has been modified to make more sense.

I would like to hope you would be willing to give it another go perhaps?

All the best, Shade_seeker.

Destiny oh destiny, I'm very sorry that the batteries wouldn't spawn for you. As I said in the message I sent to you, I've never had that problem before. Well my update is very different to when you played it, and have played through it several times to check everything works ok...hope you have better luck now, and thanks for playing!

I've added a new secret bit that will help you massively in the boss fight, but is a tricky bit of platforming, that most probably won't even find, and I've added a new character at the very end that finishes off the story.

ENJOY all, and thanks once again for playing and commenting!

I can't remember what I gave it, it was 3 or 4 stars, probably 3.

I think it only shows what the person gave the level on lbp.me if it's 4-5 stars.

Hey Shade, MUCH smoother gameplay this time!. Can't say I had one real issue throughout. I didn't realise I had to hold R1 for the battery before, or that there was actually going to be a battery. I just thought you had sequenced it so that the vent blew after charging Ber-K. The additional *recap" dialogue prevented me missing it this time so no problems there.

So I guess now I can give my true opinion on the level.... I thought it was excellent. Can imagine there was some pretty complicated logic involved to make it flow this efficiently. The robots were well made, the puzzles the right level of difficulty. This too can be said for the boss fight, which was tough but rewarded with a sense of achievement.

Some sections I wasn't exactly sure how to proceed, but if you add dialogue to everything then you're playing the game for them and I enjoyed working it out for myself. Der-K got slightly stuck while following sometimes, but this was easily resolved by pulling him a little or taking him back a step before moving him forward again.

Really liked the spaceship and the character with the camera at the end. Shame I didn't get to play digger wars but i guess that's something to save for another time. Great job!! :star::star::star::star::star: <3

Heey! So you Feedbacked me so now I shall 4Feedback you XD

First of all, I liked the level. It had some VERY detailed objects and I enjoyed the puzzle gameplay, but it was kinda hard... here are some problems that I had with the level.

-If you got that digger and tried to scoop up that gold stuff (forgot what you called it. I think it something like 'mysterious ore' or maybe I'm wrong ) the digger would get stuck and you have to restart.

-If you cranked that gear that raises the bridge fast enough, it will go back down and then you have to crank it all over again (which takes forever...)

-At the end before you battle EVA, I was a little confused. I went all the way back to the beginning of the level for some reason and well I couldn't get back! Well I did actually lol but it was super hard to jump that 'leap of fate' because the bridge was down.

-There was a certain part where I could see the blank level background when you weren't supposed to. Don't remember where exactly, but I THINK it was where that light switch thing was.

Well those were the only problems I had. Here are some things that I would recommend.

-Add some lights! The cave place thing looks so... bright! I would suggest maybe adding the spotlight light thing.

-Add a background. I don't remember exactly, but I think there was a part where you showed the background... but it was just a blank level background.

Anyways, liked the level. :star::star::star::star: plus one of those <3 things

Hey shade seeker, will do on the tutorial vid, I was able to work on the level a bit today. But, since you are so advanced in logic, I could probably tell you how briefly and you'd understand. PM me if you'd like this, but don't tell anyone on how to do it until I make my tutorial.
I'm also glad you were able to use my feedback to better your level. That's really one of the best things about PS3 than on PSP. On PSP, your plays and level hearts get reset with every update, so levels hardly get fixed on PSP, but here you can make infinite updates and it's no big deal!
-Also, I was curious how your PSP levels were doing, and unfortunately all of them have sinken to 3 stars except 'easier Pirates of the Carob Bean'. That level has 4 stars, and is over 1200 plays just so you know.

i was very impressed by the gear turning part and the awesome digger vehicle. i however didn't enjoy the level until i got to actually fly the ship
the level looks very nice and i didn't find any bugs! well...except for the fact that i flipped my digger and broke off the drill and something on the top
i gave it 5stars because it was original and well done and probably a lot of work to get the vehicle to work properly!

Hi, again Shade_seeker!

I tried your level but I am so silly that I can't go far enough! I can't place toxic blocks into Wast Disposal hole (see picture).

http://i3.lbp.me/img/ft/50358d1014a421f6b348738cd671092a867e3e40.jpg

Hole is closed and I can't do anything to open it. I try to find some way to open it, but after 15 minutes just crash main yellow vehicle (yes, it breaked up on several separate parts). That I restarted level and in this time while I push panel to generate block to fly over the bridge - there was no any blog generated. I tried about 20 times but there were no result...
Then I restart level again and in this time everything work fine - but I also could not find the way to open Wast Disposal hole.

Can you help me? I saw so many cool details on your level, but can't start it...

Hi there Morris, and thanks for playing and the comments, as always, I've done my best to change what has been mentioned.
1. Fixed the part where the digger got stuck behind the 'ore'.
2.How ever hard I've tried I cant get the bridge to go back down while turning the cog, I think you just got 'un' lucky there .
3.I've added a speech bubble giving a hint that you are going the wrong way if you turn back and try to go nearer the start.
4.Added plenty of lights now (Had to do a thermo cheat to do some of this, but all is working fine)
5.I actually DO have a background, its the cave one, so no idea why it looked blank when you played it? weird!
Thanks again Morris!

Lol Domik Domik Domik, you always did have trouble with my levels on the psp, lol. Well just for you I added a few more things for people struggling. (alas, looking on lpb.me, you had already started playing it before i updated it, DOH! Hope you got on ok, and great to see you again.)
1. A WHOLE new room at the begining, with DER_K the diggers diary giving hints on MOST parts of the game, with speech mentioning that it contains spoilers.
2. A larger arrow pointing to the secret part.
3. Various changes to some speech, and some new stickers here and there.

I went back and played the two player mini game, very fun! At first I had trouble figuring out how to get up to the button to get out of the spawn point but i eventually got it. The damage system worked well, and the diggers were fun as always. I can't wait to see what you do in LBP2, you could rebuild the mini game with multiple spawners for each player and a scoring system.2011-01-11 17:49:00

Hi Sackracer, and thanks for coming back! Funnily enough, I have already made the scoring system with LED lights, but it is a MASSIVE thermo drainer, so I had to delete them. Was planning on mucking around with the whole idea on lbp2 when it comes out, not sure exactly what yet, probably gonna do a 'house of the flying diggers 2'?????

Cheers once again.

+ Level icon.
+ K-8 balancing the bone!
+ Cog and bridge.
+ Oh wow! Magnet style pickup on the truck awesome.
+ Ore/batteries/light up/discharge.
- Fell out of the digger when I didn't want to, and when I wanted to get out it was being tricky!
- Died on the Incredible's/digger's drill a lot.
+ Magnet puzzle.
++Eve battle. Great stuff. Loved the humor in there.
+ Awesome ship design. One of my favourites I've seen on LBP.
-+ I didn't have the patience to fly the ship correctly, good thing there is a fail-safe jetpack.

I would love to see this with DCS/controllinators in LBP2. It works well as it is, but it would be amazing in LBP2.

Hi, Hi, Shade_seeker!

I finally found some free time and finished your level! WOW. It was amazing! So many cool characters and detailed things! Nice gameplay with several new for me features! I love it! I love Short Circuit film and WALL?E toon? so it was nice to see so cool characters! There are several difficult place during gameplay and not all actions are obviously (as also in all you levels on psp were ), but I like you style and this level very impressed me! So I gave you 5 stars and heart for it! Nice work! I will wait for something new from you in LBP2!

Long loading time, but I'm finally in. I'll comment on negatives as I go and I'll give you a list of positives at the end. Here we go...

I didnt know which way to go at the beginning, I went right but checked back left to see if i missed something.

Cash machine didnt work, then I got it to after a few tries.

The cog was hard to lift and harder to turn, not sure how to fix that though.

The toxic waste text didnt pop up at first.

I didnt fully understand the battery part but i got it now.

I always fall out of the digger when I hold X, annoying at times.

Why are berks eyes electric? I get electrocuted by them a lot, especially upon entering his place.

Positives: LOVE the puns.
Beautiful scenery and digger
different gameplay concepts
interesting storyline

overall 3/5 stars!

Okay so, time to give you some feedback.

The level was pretty good, albeit a little short, but still, great decorating and the like. I found not many problems, but the ones I did find were mainly with the digger.

1. The digger's controls were a little bit bad. the toxic waste disposal took me a lot longer than I suppose it should have, due to the very tiny red grab switch. I know it was small to avoid people accidentally grabbing it compared to the ship, but I kept firing (flaming?) paintinator shots instead of picking up the waste.

2. Exiting the digger was kind of difficult, and I kept breaking the exit door, resulting in me falling out of the digger a lot. So maybe make the bolt a little less stiff?

3. I couldn't get the spaceship to work, but thanks for the jetpack, guess it isn't a major problem.

Everything else was just dandy, so good show. *claps*

Played this today, enjoyed it! Thanks for playing my level and giving such great feedback!

Really cool idea! I'll admit I didn't have a clue what was going on for a bit, but once I got into it it was great! Nice puzzles and challenging gameplay! Got lost a bit every now and then, but things were figure-out-able, so that's ok! The digger you flew around in was awesome, a tricky thing to manage without LBP2 logicz! Obviously it was a bit unstable and it was sometimes hard to grab the right spot to use the scoop (dunno how you did that by the way, nice one!) but to be honest there's little you can do about that! Controllinator would fix everything!

All the Wall-E and Doctor Who references made me smile, nice but of humour! Also I loved when Eve (sorry, can't remember your rip-off's name xP) starting freaking out when I was shooting up the room!

An all-round fun level, was tricky but quite fair. The hardest part was the platforms moving up and down, especially since the gas that emits onto some of them is very hard to see! I'd probably change the colour so the player could see it. The leap of faith didn't work the first time, and it activated the second time but I still died.

Also, I felt a bit cheated when I died by walking into my digger's drill. =/

Cool level overall, a remake in LBP2 would be very interesting to see!

Hi Midnight_heist, and thank you for the praise and the stars
I know what you mean about falling out of the digger a lot, it happens when you use the (x) boost button, I can't think of a way of fixing it. The bolt is up at ten stiffness, but I have added to the speech from DER-K the digger explaining you will fall out of the cab if you use boost too much...a comprimise .
As for the ship design, thanks, looking forward to putting a controlinator on that and indeed DERK the digger...just a few more days!!!

Hi Domik, and thanks for coming back to play it, the heart and 5 stars! (LBP.me) Yeah, as you mentioned, ALL my games are a little tricky to figger out, I always end up adding LOADS of hints and text explaining what to do next. I can't seem to make a level that is OBVIOUS, partly because I think it spoils the game if EVERY thing is explained, but TWO, because I get carried away with tech/logic, then have to try and invent a level around the tech ideas, which never really seem to flow......still learning

Hi Nunmasher, and thanks for the feed back.

1. I added an arrow at the beginging to point to the vending machine, but it was deliberate to make people not quite sure what to do next.It only takes about ten seconds with a jet pack to find out all the blocked off areas, and double back to see BER-K the robot.

2. You are now the second person to have trouble with the cash machine....not sure why it didn't work straight away, but have changed the emitter that emits the coin, and sped up the emiting speed so it emits immediately, hopefully this will sort out the bug?

3. I added a little more invisible floaty stuff on the cog to make it a little lighter. ( There Was already a large blob attached off screen, but now it can be moved into place without having to hold boost)

4. The toxic waste speech is now instant.

5. BER-Ks eyes are electric to stop you jumping on top of him and using him to skip the platform part at the end

Hi Tupandactylus, glad you enjoyed the level! You mentioned that the level was short...Well thats because you missed out 'Digger wars' me thinks.

Yeah, not sure how to change the digger, to make it easier to use........well, I do once lbp2 come out
Exiting the digger..ummm. Well I added some invisble dark matter at the part where you find the tool kit, that makes it a lot easier to get out. Most other times you need to drive into something and hold X to get out, again, roll on LBP2 adjustments.

Ta!

Hehe, thanks Blackfalcon, so glad you liked it. I added a couple of stickers and changed the colour of the gas as you mentioned, makes it a lot easier to spot now, cheers!

Hi Celsus, so sorry you had trouble. I don't think it's got anything to do with the sticker on the coin, as I spoke to some one eles who hasn't ANY expansion packs and it worked fine for them...weird???? I Hope it works for you now if you get the chance to play it again!

Thanks to all that have played and left feed back, couldn't have got there with out you!
Will be making lots of changes to it with lbp2, and will be adding a scene inside the vending machine as an obsure reference to my 'pirates of the carob bean' level on the psp. Can't wait!!!!!

Just retried it and it worked instantly. I have no clue what went wrong before, but I tried tons of stuff and it was funny to see it just decided not to give me a coin that time. I liked the look of the level, very well done the cog was perfect, the digger pick up thing confused me for a second, but I did not read the text clearly enough just because I was trying to turn on that switch. I almost blew up the tool kit with the explosives, but it still worked so I was happy. I wish the Wall's following distance was a bit more, at times he blocked me out of doors. The leap of faith did not work for me three times, but suddenly just activated with out me leading (second time adound I waited at the edge for it to start moving). The puzzle was really nice, but I was not sure if the mag key and switch blended with the level too well, but not sure is the object is too small to add details too. For some reason I thought I broke it when the part came on about me knowing the code. I saw it sitting there, not close enough to the mag, so I tried tons of things, but I think I did not hit the correct color for the mag to get it, so I reset it thinking I had hit a glitch (I was having PS3 issues today, like it freezing when I exited levels). Well went through it again, and found I just had not seen the mag move the first time, so not sure if there is a way to call attention to that, or if it is really needed, just because I was having PS3 issues at the time. Liked the vines below, and actually the wall walk behind looked nice too. Well goto the house but walls lagged a little and I had to pull him to the door, it was a few of these areas I wished he had a better following radius. Got inside and he took a little to enter, then I got in and became abusive with his lady, it was funny to se jokes about K-9 (even though K-9 himself it the biggest joke...awww snap!) , and even better to see no mention of Jane or Rose. His lady moved around tons and with my limited ammo it got a little annoying, partly because the lights on her wings and a few other parts blocked some of the shots, and psrtly because I was trying to shot things to see what she would say, and I would have to go and reload. The pring on the couch was good, but under the shelf which blocked it a bit, the stickers on the lights float in mid air when you swing because they are on the elastic and not on the light. Walls did not enter that second I think I had to nudge him a little to open the gate. I really liked the design of the jet, it was a little slow flying up, more room for practice may have been good, I broke the fron off and flipped it against walls a few times. It did take a while to get up, and I was fine with that, just wish you gave more space there. I used to try and make rocketships with out piston cheats, but I found adding more players and such made it near impossible to make them smooth, that said I did hear that using gas as a stableizer work really well for it (because it always stays in the same verticle...I have never tried, and you may have done so. Very good level, tons of fun, wish I had second player this time around when I played it to test out the fighting. All I would do is hide the keyswitch if possible, tweak the leap of, tweak following, add more ammo, add something about how bad Sargate Unniverse is (not needed, just figure it needs to be said often),add more room for rocket (I understand that one could be annoying because of the work it envolve if there are any pistons or such attached to the land so not a biggy).

P.S. I had listed a few levels you could have choosen to give me feedback on, but after compling this level I think you may like giving feedback on any of the ones with "Space" or "Alien" in the title.
