I'm actually pleasantly surprised at the number of good reviews.
I thought people would hate on the floaty jumping and the fact that the amount of tools was slightly overwhelming.

I seriously hate how the IGN reviewer complains about how their object span out of control and blame the game engine and wonder why it doesn't do everything for them. The physics of the game work like they should(for the most part lol) so they only have their lack of ability to blame :/

I also don't get how it's better than LBP(which got 9.5) yet only gets 9.0 :/

Joystiq - 5 out of 5 Stars.

Not surprised it's getting good press, the story levels are a lot more inventive this time (at least the ones in the Beta were)

Just for the record, the current average is about 93.7/100. To be honest, that's a bit lower than I was hoping for, especially IGN. Seriously though, the game's better in every way but you rate it LOWER than the original? There's gotta be something wrong there!2011-01-04 23:24:00

Metacritic (http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-3/littlebigplanet-2) has the game averaged out at 94/100, making it the 8th highest rated PS3 game according to their site, 5 spots below the fist LittleBigPlanet at 3rd.2011-01-04 23:41:00

Here's 1up's review

http://www.1up.com/do/reviewPage?cId=3182965

As far as lower-than-LBP's score goes... that "more of the same" rating curve has been around since the mid 90's when PSM magazine started. They prided themselves on things like giving Abe's Odysee a 9, but giving the vastly superior Abe's Exoddus an 8, simply because it wasn't a totally different game the way a fake sequel like Super Mario Bros 2 that we got in the west was to the original Super Mario Bros on NES. It had better graphics, animation, more features and gameplay, was longer, had a quicksave function, new abilities and races to possess etc etc etc but somehow it wasn't as good as the original. Reviewers just factor in that gamers who actually buy games based on reviews being all they see (and haven't already decided based on their own personal hype by following pre-release coverage for the previous year or two online) will judge games at a glance and the surface, 1st impression is what forms their opinion... they don't try to dig deeper, and that's why sequel reviews always have to address questions of whether previous complaints still exist, and assume that the people who didn't feel that way or overlooked it already know they're buying it.

Stupid review person: It doesn't control like mario, Boo-Hoo.
Ya? Well Halo doesn't control like Call of Duty, are ya gonna cry about that too?

And criticising it based on their own creative inability?
Ugh, whatever. I've only played the demo and I give an 11/10 and GOTYAYATY award (Game of the Year and Year After This Year)

Lol talk about premature assumptions (By me).

I hate to sound like an angry fan, but that 1up reviewer is such an idiot :/

They take a really quick sweep of the community and say that there were only clones of other games. What about New Beh'Ta and all these other great levels?

My creations in the original game had me up at 12:30 a.m. desperately trying to figure out why my Ecto-1 wouldn't move. This time around, that late night conundrum was replaced with me wondering why I couldn't categorize a Kryptonite bullet as a projectile so that when being projected from an emitter it would count on Superman's projectile sensor.

*Facepalm* THIS is why he didn't give it a 10/10.

Wow guys I just found another review but this one is the worse! they gave LittleBigPlanet 2 a 7.5! they said this.
(7s are solid games that definitely have an audience. Might lack replay value, could be too short or there are some hard-to-ignore faults, but the experience is fun.)

wow lack replay value! there are 3 million levels that you can that a lack replay value! ok here is what me do we do. Everyone is the forums will go to the site and we all get turn slapping the reviews.

Meh, that Destructoid review is really going to mess up the average score D:

Anyways, I think to shut people up I might make a sackboy with a chip on it that makes it's jump less floaty and gives it tighter movement(I personally don't mind the controls but meh) :/
