Question For Ya

Hey LBPC!

Here's a question for ya...

Would you find it weird if you were just casually playing and someone you just met called you by your first name?

If I hadn't told the other person my 1st name (which I believe I haven't) and I know that other person is not someone who knows me on real life...yes, I would, specially since I don't recall using my real name anywhere online. 2011-01-04 09:06:00

I don't think I would, dear Matthew Norrington.

I'll find it plain out strange. Of course, I'll then take the opportunity of the guy's psychic powers and ask him/her the numbers to the next lottery.2011-01-04 10:41:00

Don't you think if he knew the numbers, he'd rather use them to win the lotto, himself?

What's the big deal Jon? I mean so he called you Jake, it's not like Jack is a bad name or anything right? Just out of curiosity, why did your parents name you James?

On Xbox Live, I had a girl send me a message, referring to me by my real name accusing me of breaking up with her best friend. She went on to call me a number of names, said I was heartless, and that I'd never find another girl like her friend. I, of course, had no idea what this girl was talking about and after conversing with her further, she realized she had the wrong guy. It was a strange experience though.2011-01-04 17:48:00

You'll never find another girl like her! I swear it! You made a big mistake, don't make me send you messages on PSN now!

That'd only be weird if they were a stranger. A lot of my PSN friends know my first name, not like they're gonna track me down or anything 2011-01-04 21:54:00

I'd be more creeped out if I was on my 'everything else' account (MrFunctionality is my LBP account) and someone said "MrFunctionality?"2011-01-04 22:06:00

Wow, that would be pretty strange I guess. But then again, it's not that hard to find most people's names on the internet. Actually, I used to do this to my friends on another account of mine. Their reactions were priceless. If anyone wants to see how safe their identity is over the internet, I could try to do a search and show you what I can come up with. I have many years of stalking experience so hopefully I can put it to good use one day by offering identity protection services.2011-01-04 22:12:00

Ehh... I guess that was a legitimate response... but your reply did remind me that it is easy to view a public profile

Given that my PSN is AlexWF1, people would either call me by my first name, or call me WF1, which wouldn't make much sense. As for XBL, people I know call me Alex, others call me Senna or VxR Senna or VxR guy....2011-01-05 07:08:00
