Create a Material
Archive: 6 posts
i was think it would be awesome if we have create a material this is how it would work Players make a grid the size of a average block, they then chose what kind of material is should be. Next they put stickers, or other types of materials. When they finish there will be an option to create materiel and will now count as one of you materials in you menu, (marked with a icon that says Custom Content) And before you say Why dont you just put stickers on a cardboard block, well the the only problem is that those stickers would add to the limit of stickers you can have and increasing the size of the block will also mean you have to increase the size of the sticker, which will make it blurry. So what do you guys think? | 2011-01-04 03:26:00 Author: wait wtf Posts: 853 |

Well, considering its been suggested since who knows when, way back when LBP started, and its yet to happen... Besides, you say placing stickers and all takes too much thermo, but I'm fairly certain User-created materials would take much more thermo than regular ones, don't you think? | 2011-01-04 22:33:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |

Depends, If you could make "material packages" in a seperate file, or as "mylevel" info (mylevel means stored inside the level itself), they would pre-load just like any other material would. and the package would remain, so if any other level uses it, it would not have to download the specific new material again. but, this is all speculation.. it could be done. | 2011-01-04 23:32:00 Author: Luos_83 Posts: 2136 |
Here's my take on your idea. There could be a simple block in which you make your material. Then you could chose if it has the weight and hardness properties of metal, steel, wood, polystrene, sponge, dissolve, cardboard, hologram, or np physics properties at all such as dark mater. Then, there could be a selection of patterns which would determie the look of your material. | 2011-01-07 04:04:00 Author: TREMIC1 Posts: 263 |
