Omg! This lvl rocks!

hallo evrbod. My name is theblueorphan, that's not my real name though. I made a level that you all could play if you want but don't have to either. It has bongos and lots of sounds.		2011-01-03 21:17:00

Just because you named it that no one is going to want to play it, I certainly wont. I'm not trying to be mean but seriously, when you beg it just screams " My level sucks!"

Sorry to say, but Krondelo has a point. You need to add a description of what your level is about, or atleast SOME info.
Also, might I recommend a better title? I mean, the title is what gives you your fist general idea of the level. And, not to be rude or anything, but "OMG this level ROCKS!" sounds pretty desperate and noobish, and I'm sure you're not one of those kinds of people. Our advice is for the better, trust me Good luck!

Btw, I'll try this out ASAP, just because you said "seemingly terrible."

i don't want to be a negative nelly but i feel like it's a waste of people's time publishing and, even more so, advertising a level that you know isn't very good or fun. i only say this because levels like this are what i come to lbpc to avoid. if someone is here promoting their level i expect it to have some thought and effort put into it, so i take my time to play the majority of the level showcase levels. it just seems to defeat the purpose of this board to post such a half-baked level...2011-01-04 05:13:00

Initial impression - is not great if I am honest - the plain blank level edges and background, an upside down marvel head object, few blocks and a roughly drawn dark matter squiggle ramp. the flashing colours don't seem to serve any real purpose to the mood, and the rate of change doesn't suit the pacing of the music.

The drop off that shows some doll part below the ramp and behind the fire isn't great , perhaps a better camera angle, some other support that is within a theme, or some decorations. I am not sure what the randomly placed masks are for... making them part of an obstacle or having them suspended in a more artistic way might be a better option.

The next section had much more decoration, a very random there, the wall that is below the noisy hanging cylinders is easy to fall down behind perhaps it could build back up level with the layer in front , or have some sort of block. Hiding the speakers would look better or you could arrange them in a better more appealing fashion.

The stack of infinite life check points just looks like dropped them all, though i guess the top 7 is a kind of creature having eyes ears and 2 mouths, both which just have keyboard-mashing style gibberish.

I think that lines of checkpoints on the fire is a good idea for an obstacle but they have to be close enough so you can hold right as yo come out of the door to trigger the next and make some sort of progress, I just got stuck in a span and death loop and had to restart the level.

I jumped further on the redo and found the invisible platform to walk across.

The drums could make a drum noise when you jump on them. Decorating or hiding then appearing the scoreboard can be great but just having it totally hidden and upside down - not so much.

Oi oi, calm dow people, at least he's being honest and straight out saying its not a good level, and that he made it when bored, you don't like it?
Don't post, ignore it, search another level, use the time you're wasting here insulting him or her, and instead go look at a level you think you may enjoy, simple as that.

Feedback's good, but simply insulting isn't, things like "maybe you should do this and that to make it better" are helpful, thigs like : You suck, your level sucks, etc." aren't, so please avoid using inflamatory comments, the guy just wants to promote his level, so let him, its not like its h4h or anything of the sort.		2011-01-04 07:37:00

Its the "Level Showcase" not the "Post only awesome levels showcase," its for anyone to try to showcase their levels, no matter the quality, unless its H4H, which is against site rules, or anything that's "Griefable" for obvious reasons ("Adult content, rude, anti-someone" levels.) so I don't see why people shouldn't be able to showcase levels they made, even if they're quick, out-of-boredom levels, like I said, instead of just insulting the level and creator, why not just skip by it, let it go, and go on to the next one, or post feedback to help.

OP, I'm trying to defend you, but you as well have been insulting the posters, you're not showing behaviour better to theirs, therefore just asking for a flaming, its best if you just ignore the insults, and try not to insult unprovoked to the ones trying to help as well, if you don't like the feedback (if any) simply say something polite, not simply reject immediatelly all feedback you dislike, trust me, people tend to be nicer to those who are, or at least act nice. 		2011-01-04 09:03:00
