LBP2 sponsors Channel Five movies.

Archive: 34 posts

not sure if this has already been found or even posted, but i guess it's news.

for all you people who have channel 5 (and watch movies) you might have seen LBP2 adverts between breaks, I can't find any videos right now but as normal Sackboy is about his business with some awesome narrative by Stephen Fry. If you like they are mini trailers, several actually.

LittleBigPlanet 2 Top Gun
LittleBigPlanet 2 Karate Kid
LittleBigPlanet 2 Terminator
LittleBigPlanet 2 Scarface
LittleBigPlanet 2 Jaws
LittleBigPlanet 2 Braveheart
LittleBigPlanet 2 Dirty Dancing
LittleBigPlanet 2 Forrest Gump

see page 2 for the links, which were posted by Rhys125

I do remember gazing at the TV to see two sackbots or something, and i think it was on Channel 5 too. Shame i did'nt see the whole advert, due to playing Bejeweled Blitz on Facebook.2011-01-03 19:45:00

"LittleBigPlanet 2 sponsors movies on Five"

wow, that IS significant. if that runs and runs like the Nintendo sponsor programmes, LBP2 could sell like it deserves.

now everyone here: GO OUT AND PROMOTE THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!! tell at least 10 people each

I saw one and it's really nothing special. It was like a 3 second clip showing nothing new...

Just sayin'.

Well, as no-one (well, except Pattington ) watches movies on Five, that just shows how far Sony's going to go to advertise this game. Sony's ads are rubbish, I saw one ad over the whole of Christmas.2011-01-03 22:48:00

actually before any of you start...

My ps3 uses the family TV in the living room, my dad was watching police academy.... and well i was at my laptop browsing the forums, heard the word sackboy, and turned my head, so I posted here.

I saw these during The Spy Who Sh***** Me, they basically showed off nothing but we're so much better than the generic car sponsor ads.

EDIT: Woah, that title doesn't get censored? I better get it. *backs away*

I don't watch Channel 5 except for the Gadget Show, which has finished now, I'm not going back there.

Also, I saw loads of Sony ads over Christmas. They were all the same PS Move one :/

Having said that, I remember loads of LBP1 ads when it first came out. I think I can remember them, let's see.

The Cullen Family Planet (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yTzv9Pm53A), Heavy Metal Mullet Planet (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYGfYVCp6q8&feature=channel) and the Janice Planet (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOI8E5B9pz8&feature=channel). I loved those

Oi PB, any You Tube links to these commercials?

Just found these! :hero:

There are 8 of them (AFAIK) but they're only 11 seconds long. Pretty funny though!

LittleBigPlanet 2 Top Gun (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUM6KNnuovM)
LittleBigPlanet 2 Karate Kid (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8Sbj2h9DlI)
LittleBigPlanet 2 Terminator (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7nL2-l57Zic)
LittleBigPlanet 2 Scarface (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phwNqI9wb54)
LittleBigPlanet 2 Jaws (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmGosNw2ld4)
LittleBigPlanet 2 Braveheart (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5jtdv2G8Cx0)
LittleBigPlanet 2 Dirty Dancing (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9Ofapc8ZVU)
LittleBigPlanet 2 Forrest Gump (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FMK_cjQWc8)

I noticed that one of the background characters in the Forrest Gump video is wearing a black t-shirt with a shiny, green mushroom tree logo! Looks like a potential "Week 1 t-shirt"!

I think the Karate Kid one is the best.
Anyone else have a preference?

Seems likely - its looks like the tree will be made similarly to the Star on the PSP shirt - little sequens... (http://i937.photobucket.com/albums/ad217/Tommy012345/LBP2Launch.png)

The reflections on the green tree look pretty uniform to me... I can't see that it'll be made from sequins, like the PSP shirt. I think it'll be more like a piece of green foil.
