I have seen levels that are being moderated or that peoples levels have been edited due to moderation on LBP. Can someone tell me why MM would moderate someones level?

Actually it is Sony that does the actual moderation. There are a few threads about that around here and can try searching on Moderation for more information. However, I think they are plopped into a queue to moderate if a level gets enough Good Grief's. Why? Assume language, pictures, content, player being mean.. who knows. How many Good Grief's that is, I have no clue.

Moderating seems to be far less intense than in the early days. (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=39938-What-exactly-gets-moderated) ok, ok, my bad for asking...but ur answer in the other thread was pretty funny I once made a level that took 10 seconds to finish and the only thing in the level was a butt that would defecate on you when you ran under it. It got a huge response from people and then BAM! gone.

Popular levels may also be moderated for no definite reason. Little Dead Space was moderated but brought back for the Sackies, and Ramp was moderated and never returned. (We shall miss you Ramp! ) There is a chance of getting your moderated levels back (if there was no reason for moderation), I've heard of people who contacted Mm and got their level back.

Do they provide reasons for the moderation? I was apprehensive to publish my most recent level "They Came From My Nightmares" because of the dark ending it has. I really hope they don't moderate it because if I change the ending, the game wont have the same impact. There is no sexual content or cursing in it so if it does get banned I wont be happy.

i think.... the reason some levels are moderated is, the popular demand. if anough jealous noobs moderate a level, even if its a big heart with koombaya playing and like puppys everywere a level will be taken off. why? because media molecule doesent have ti me to go through every report therefore if a level gets enoguh reports then mm will just automatically take it off. my friend felix had 2 levels that were very well done taken off for no reason. its a shame (i meant sony not mm sorry :3)

The usual stuff that gets moderated that content feels too mature for younger audiences. This include but not limited to 1.Sexual themes - definately not for this game 2. Drug references - no real life or fictional drug themes are good. Such as sackboy gets hooked on washing powder or something may not be suitable. 3.discrimination - anything to do with gender colour, etc. 4.violence - some comic violence, something that seems too graphic. 5.horror - stuff that might scare younger audiences. 6.nudity - officially a guideline, but any images that depict human nudity in levels that is not good, such as ps eye pictures that depict nudity, etc. Which is probably against Sony's terms and some laws. 7.coarse language - some words are censored but voice recordings cannot. Re-reading Sony's online terms and mm's online terms is good to see what you can and can't do. Do they provide reasons for the moderation? I don't think that will get moderated as long as there is nothing too extreme then then there is no reason for people to grief it.
