Sackboy's Sticky Situations [entries closed-POLL ADDED]
Archive: 32 posts
Heya guys, this is a sort of game that was thought up by me and my brother, Alismuffin. I give you a situation in which sackboy is in some sort of dilemma, and you guys have to draw up a scene of how he's gonna get out of it. The situations are going to be very basic so everyone can join in. Rules: 2 week deadline for each Sticky Situation Only one entry per Situation There will be ground rules for each Sticky Situation, eg. Get sackboy out of his sticky situation with the use of, a paper clip, a piece of string and a rubber ducky. ( I will be very flexable with the items he gets, for example, I didn't state how big the rubber ducky is, nor what colour, or even if it is real. So you can have a giant, pink, man-eating rubber ducky) Please do not make entries too big or too small, try to keep them about the same size as the Sticky Situation pic. When the two weeks deadline is up I will add a poll, and the voting will last for about 3 days. Template This is a template and can be used in your own 'solution' to getting sackboy out of his situation, feel free to use it http://i56.tinypic.com/ju8qhe.png Thanks to Dragonvarsity I have enough XP to give away to winners which will hopefully bring more entries. Winner gets 500 XP, second place gets 250 and third place gets 150 | 2011-01-03 00:48:00 Author: iLEGEND Posts: 158 |
Heres the stiuation; Sackboy has to get across the bridge but he only has a toothpick, a yo-yo and a wad of gum. Put the items to use and help get him across, you have two weeks to do so starting now. Oh, and watch out for sharks http://i52.tinypic.com/i4mm28.png Got a better header, thanks to Jedi_1993 Special thanks to Dragonvarsity for the 900 XP donation | 2011-01-03 00:52:00 Author: iLEGEND Posts: 158 |
My Sharks like gum so I used the yo-yo as a sling for the gum. Through the gum-sling yo-yo as far as I could. Used the Car-sized toothpick as a bridge replacement to get across. | 2011-01-03 01:21:00 Author: Random Posts: 673 |
I give you a situation in which sackboy is in some sort of dilemma, and you guys have to draw up a scene of how he's gonna get out of it. not trying to bring things up in a troll-ish manner so I hope me putting that up didn't seem jerk-ish, just showin you, anyway, this seems like a really awesome game, iLEGEND The old me would've suggested to have this in the forum games but even though it's a game or contest, I feel it wouldn't get much attention in Forum Games but yeah, really cool idea, I'll try thinking and drawing something up, is any program accepted? EDIT" Don't have a lot of time to make a "masterpiece so quickly made this in MS Paint x], here's my entry. http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=28961 Sackboy sticks the white ball on the yoyo to the gum which is stuck to the ground. The bigger part of the yoyo has the toothpick stuck into it and the thingy near the dock, he takes the gum off and is flung to the other land, unless his idea of logic fails him xD | 2011-01-03 01:29:00 Author: Dragonvarsity Posts: 5208 |
Something like this? Chew the Gum until very sticky. Clean teeth of remaining gum with toothpick. Attach all gum to Yo yo. Throw Yo yo across the gap (Making sure to hold on to one end). Tie your end to the wood nearby. Climb across the string (Sackpeople are always crossing gaps on string). If attacked jab shark with tooth pick (Aim for nose). Hannibal Smith eat you heart out Edit: This is a great idea, to show my support here: http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=28962 Edit 2: Will do my best to draw this plan | 2011-01-03 01:48:00 Author: Jedi_1993 Posts: 1518 |
yeah, except you have to draw it out | 2011-01-03 01:50:00 Author: iLEGEND Posts: 158 |
@Dragonvarsity, any program is accepted, and im glad you picked up that you have to draw it out oh, and soz for double post | 2011-01-03 01:55:00 Author: iLEGEND Posts: 158 |
Donated 900 XP to you iLEGEND so you can keep the XP you have and give 500 XP to the winner, 250 to second place and 150 to third place, this really seems like an awesome idea for a contest and I can't wait to see the entries made and the other rounds for this and if you ever need someone to help judge, I'd be glad to help | 2011-01-03 17:00:00 Author: Dragonvarsity Posts: 5208 |
Thank you soo much Dragonvarsity for the entry and the 900 XP, and thank you Jedi_1993 for the awesome title, I think i'll use it | 2011-01-03 17:47:00 Author: iLEGEND Posts: 158 |
I have increased the amount of XP for the winners which will hopefully bring about more entries. I just wanna remind everyone that you don't have to be able to draw to enter. You can use the most simplistic drawings if you want cause, it's the idea thats been voted for, not the quality of the pic. If you dont have a program to draw on , just use paper and pen, the good ole' way and maybe go over it in pen then take a photo. Feel free to use the template I provided in the OP, thats kinda why it there | 2011-01-03 18:42:00 Author: iLEGEND Posts: 158 |
this is why i always have my portable helicopter where ever i go. solution: if we now think logical, how big is a sackperson? and how big is a yoyo? place the obviusly HUGE yoyo in the water take out the BIG peice of chewing gum and form a carpet or something with it, and place it over the bridge with the yoyo as support under it (and it's string connected to the other side of the bridge and back and forth and back and forth etc) take the LONG tooth pick too keep the sharks away while walking over! http://i1030.photobucket.com/albums/y363/az_za-/Asolution.png | 2011-01-03 19:35:00 Author: >er. http://i51.tinypic.com/2co3i3b.png Here's my solution. Sackboy puts the giant toothpick over the gap. He then attaches gum to the toothpick so that as he walks across he can stay on the toothpick. To deal with the sharks, sackboy uses the Yo-Yo to ward them off. | 2011-01-03 23:08:00 Author: Alismuffin Posts: 1328 |
I was going to draw it, but my gimp isnt working, so... in the first picture there is a rope a few feet about the broken bridge, use the yoyo as a zipline, while tossing the gun for the sharks to nom on, the toothpick fell in the water too... | 2011-01-06 01:38:00 Author: Joshofsouls Posts: 1569 |
You still have over a week to draw it up so you have plenty of time. Also you can use Paint if you have it. | 2011-01-06 09:44:00 Author: iLEGEND Posts: 158 |
Loving the entries made so far, nice job Alis and >er and great job with the new logo Jedi, I can't wait for more entries | 2011-01-06 13:16:00 Author: Dragonvarsity Posts: 5208 |
This is just a reminder that there is one week left to get your entries in, please guys, we need more entries and it only takes 5 mins max to roughly draw something up. The entries we have right now are all good and thanks to all who have entered so far. I really want to keep this giong but there would be little point doing so if only three people enter. | 2011-01-09 20:13:00 Author: iLEGEND Posts: 158 |
The deadline is up......and there are only 3 entries. Well, I'm still deciding whether to make a second sticky situation, and in the mean time, i'll put a poll up so the community can choose the winners. I would like to give a big thanks to all the people who entered, your entries are awesome. | 2011-01-17 06:11:00 Author: iLEGEND Posts: 158 |
