Improved visibility of Cool Levels category

Archive: 6 posts

It's nothing major but over the past few months, i have noticed that when a level is promoted if you like to the Cool Levels filter, the lack of replies and views tend to die down ... My suggestion is to move it somewhere else or make it more noticeable somehow instead of above the help threads posted by the Staff Members because as described it's where the 'Better' and 'Popular' levels should be which players are looking for! On the first page replies are dying down to a week+.
Thanks for viewing my thread.

Well, I reckon that 20 responses is a fair amount of feedback for any level starting out. Of course we all want 40 pages of praise, there comes a point when letting other people have their levels seen and discussed is only fair.

Think of the main page as more of a way to trawl for gems, whereas the cool pages as a delegated section of awesome where you can go if you want to see the cream of LBPC's efforts

At least you're lucky enough to get more than 10 replies, about 90% of the Level Showcase these days only get 0 - 5 replies in over 2 weeks (yes there are +2-week old level threads with 0 replies.)

That's a lot considering how little atention the Showcase's getting lately, wanting for more attention it kinda unfair for all those who actually need it, woudn't you agree?

Yes, another rant about how bad Level Shocase is, why?
Because it still is that bad, and I won't stop until the Level Showcase gets more veiws and reponses than it does now, such a discgrace to even call this site an LBP forum anymore considering all the little LBP-topics there are or how bad and difficult it is to advertise your levels in here anymore. :/

I do hear you dude... showcase threads are now like-- trauma patients, in that they need constant attention or they could just slip away for good... [Excuse Me one sec...] "CLEEAAARR!"

Okay where was I... oh yeah constant recessitation. I wouldn't expect the current state to change either... especially for lbp1 levels... people who own lbp2 will fail to even recognize lbp1 levels. Dark days lie ahead for LBP1 creators

(then again) less competition!

Well, everyone that's been graced with the beta has slowed right down on the LBP (for the most part anyway).

LBP1 has been discussed to death now, really, the level showcase is the only new thing on this site (and on any sites) and thats only relevant to those that aren't in the beta.

A boom shall come on the 18th!

Believe me, we spotlight crew are preparing for the old Level Showcase vitality that was about when I first joined the spotlight. Once LBP2 comes out, the showcase will be packed with levels clamouring for attention, and with people looking for awesome.

Anyway, back on topic - cool levels being put in another forum is a great way of allowing unplayed content to come to the surface. 20 replies is a great number for a level to have in the level showcase, and to be honest, it doesn't need that much more. Let the lesser-played levels appear in the top 20 level showcase threads.
