I recently checked on my Collector's Edition pre-order and there was a message stating the game wouldn't actually ship until sometime between January 25 - January 29. However, the main item page still says it will be available January 18. Is anyone else pre-ordering from Amazon getting this message? Sheesh, I wonder if there's just too much hype to get everything shipped on time!

I just checked Amazon and mine also said the estimated delivery date is around January 24th. Well, at least it's better than never.

If that's the case. Then I'll be canceling mine. I'm getting on day one. One way or another. Edit: I went and checked my amazon account, and mine said it would arrive on Jan 18. I ordered mine back in July, and paid for release day arrival. Hope this helps.

My date is still the 18th... I ordered it pretty much when it was announced, so maybe it depends on when you put your order in? Or check your shipping options, maybe you could upgrade for a few bucks.

It more than likely has to do with your shipping option. If you picked standard shipping then that is why it has a different date. Release date delivery is only 0.99

I preordered mine in the first few days it was announced, and I paid for the day one shipping. If you don't pay for the day one shipping, you won't get it for a few days or weeks.

Hmm, I didn't see the option for day one delivery. Do I need to re-submit my order? The problm is I'm getting this through my Dad and I'm not sure he agrees with re-submitting and paying the extra fee.

I'm pretty sure there is a button to edit your shipping option somewhere and the fee is 99 cents. (Sorry if I looked mean, I didn't know if you knew how much the fee was and just wanted to inform you.)

Thank you thank you thank you!!! I wasn't going to get my game until the 26th unless I had read this. For .99 cents I will now have it on the 18th! If you are not seeing the release day delivery option on Amazon.com, you might have to change the shipping address from a P.O. Box to your street address. (I had to) Thanks agian, I would have been one bitter little sackboy waiting an extra week!

I've ordered plenty of games from Amazon with release day shipping and it's been wonderful. I changed my LBP2 order a few weeks ago from 1 day to release day since the option wasn't available when I originally placed the pre-order. From past experience I fully expect to receive LBP2 on the 18th and for a mere 99 cents.

I ordered mine today, and it will get here in the 18th, so I don't think when you ordered matters at all as long as there's availability. The problem is that Amazon defaults to the free super saver shipping (which is nice because you don't have to pay) and people miss the .99 option. I got GT5 like that and was pleasantly surprised that my game got here that day.

I pre-ordered my Collector's Edition the day it was announced. Originally, release-date delivery wasn't available so I chose 1-day delivery, it was expensive but worth it. It was going to arrived between the 22nd and 25th. In September I checked again and release-date delivery was available so I selected it, the total shipping cost is $0.99. I was excited because aside from cheaper shipping, I was going to receive it on the 18th.

I know that the Best Buys in the Los Angeles area have them to preorder now with the option to pick up at the store, so you could try that where you live.

I have a message saying: Important Message We thought you should know that we're experiencing a delay with your order. We apologize for any inconvenience.
