Level Spotlight Notification?
Archive: 8 posts
Can the website notify a creator weather a level he/she made got spotlighted or not? I just thought it would be a good idea, because some people make really good levels sometimes and after they publish it and post a thread in level showcase, they spend time re-editing the level and might not be online for a few days and not see that they got praise for their work. Just a thought. Edit (other than the coloring): I thought we had the technology that the website could automatically message lbpeeps about something, I know people that volunteered to do the spotlights already work hard enough but I didn't think it would be THAT much effort. But if it is then we shouldn't do it, because reviewers are people too (but if it isn't then we should TOTALLY do it). | 2011-01-02 02:50:00 Author: wolverine_2008 Posts: 304 |
To notify a creator that their level got spotlighted would be nice, in my opinion. I wonder what CC thinks of this...? | 2011-01-02 03:03:00 Author: Fishrock123 Posts: 1578 |
Good idea! But why not just check the spotlight...? Too nerveracking? | 2011-01-02 03:22:00 Author: anoken Posts: 1654 |
I think the only problem is that you are adding more work to those that already volunteer quite a bit of time. Anytime I ever have a level in the Level Showcase I always check the next spotlight when it comes out. I mean heck, you even have to check lottery tickets? Not like they call you after the drawing is over. lol | 2011-01-02 03:27:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
I had the description on why we should do it up there, sorry I'll separate it from the thing. | 2011-01-02 03:32:00 Author: wolverine_2008 Posts: 304 |
Done. It said that some people aren't on LBPC all the time so they might not see that they got praised for their hardwork and stuff...and all that jazz. | 2011-01-02 03:42:00 Author: wolverine_2008 Posts: 304 |
Hmmm... well, it might be that the process of when they populate the Spotlight search engine, could be expanded to also perform a mail away based on the users home email. ..though v0rtex, CC and Aya might hate me for suggesting that. lol | 2011-01-02 04:00:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
