The 2nd Annual LBPCentral Awards Show! Winners!

Host Note: Sorry for the delay folks. The sheer number of votes turned my usual 3 hour long preparation process into a 12 hour nightmare. So again, sorry for the wait.

Oh, and the following show contains some heavy dialog, so go to the summary (post #2) if you just want to know who won what.

CyberSora: Welcome everybody to the 2nd Annual LBPCentral Awards Show! As we all know, our site has some of the greatest people here, and that variety of people keep expanding with the growth of our site and the community. Even though everybody has accomplished great things on here, both small and big, it's time to find out who's accomplishments were the best ones this year... or so to speak.

The first award, the Newcomer Award, goes TheZimInvader!
(Zim walks up to get award.)
Congrats on your win and may the best be with you.
(Zim walks back down to an applause.)

Now then, the Contributor Award goes to... TheZimInvader?
(Zim walks back up.)
Well, this is just great. I used up my best speech already!
(Flips through script.)
(Zim walks back down with the award.)
(Another round of applause.)

Well, on to the next one. The News Reporter Award got to rtm223! Get up here you big geek!
(Crowd goes silent as rtm223 stares threateningly at CyberSora.)
Don't hurt me!

(A cry of fear goes out in the crowd. Camera swerves to see what happens, but gets off air for some reason.)

**Commercial break.**

CyberSora: Hey, you're back! Sorry about that, but we had some, er... technical difficulties! Yeah.

Anyways, the PS3 Rookie Designer Award goes to huntedstorm. Good job on getting recognized so quickly.

The PSP Rookie Award goes to both CheezeBo and DizzyZebra. Congrats to both of you, even though one of you smells like cheese and the other has no wifi again!
(Crowd begins to laugh.)
That wasn't supposed to be funny....
(Laughter dies.)
*Grins troll-like.*

(CyberSora gets dragged off stage by a giant crane, and muffled yells can be heard in the background.)
Unknown voice: You idiot, what are you doing?
CyberSora: I'm hosting the show-
(The unknown figure punches CyberSora in the stomach.)
Unknown voice: We told you not to let this show get into your head! *Smacks CyberSora across the face.*
CyberSora: OW!
Unknown: You've already wasted time doing your thing. So, find a way present the next awards more quickly, or you're going to lose something you may never live without again.
CyberSora: My kneecaps!?
Unknown voice: You wish. Now get out there and announce the next winner already.
(CyberSora returns to the stage with a black eye.)

CyberSora: Sorry for the delay folks. We had some minor difficulties. Nothing to worry about.
(Audience ignores what CyberSora said.)
Anyhoo, how about we speed up the show a bit and run through the next categories as quickly as we can.

The Creativity Award goes to TheZimInvader and amazingflyingpoo. Give them a round of applause people. They definitely deserved this.

The PS3 Creator Award goes to Lockstitch and steve_big_guns. Congrats on your win. Now it's your turn to- umm... keep making levels?

The PSP Creator Award goes to SalieriAAX, for his never-the-same levels we all so dearly love.

The Trendsetter Award goes to you, RockSauron, because only you can make peanuts and RPGs work.

The Txt Msgr Award goes to lbp is awespme! Come get your award you-
(Someone from the audience stands up.)

(CyberSora smirks as the audience member sits down.)
CyberSora: Well then, at least now he's got more time to practice some grammar!

The next award, the Go To Person Award, goes to BabyDoll1970. Congratulations, and keep up your wise teachings oh great mod you.

The Comedian Award goes to Inanimacy. Thank you for trolling us with such good style. I'm sure your sarcastic ways will be missed once you're banned... maybe... somewhat... I don't know.

The Friendly Award goes to Morgana25, who'll hug you whenever she has the spare time to do so.

The Thread Weaver Award goes to Doopz479 and Inanimacy. We all loved your creative and humorous threads and we hope to see more of them.

The Pet Lover Award goes to Morgana25, for her obsession with cats. We congratulate you on your win and we hope to see a LOLCAT with one of you cats in it!

The Missing In Action Award goes to MrsSpookyBuz, a presence that'll be surely missed along with all of the other members of this great site.

The Most Active Award goes to RockSauron, who never takes a break from community projects or running!

The Spirit Award goes to jwwphotos, who we can't go on without, because then who'll cheer us on when trolls like-

The Admin/Mod Award goes to no other than BabyDoll1970, because nothing says "fun and helpful" like an epic face paint!

At least I kept the Spotlight this time. :/

(Cranes re-emerges; CyberSora sees it.)

Well, I hope you guys enjoyed it (Rock's bragging or complaining?)

To be honest, I've been at this since 8 PM-4 AM, then 8 AM-12 PM, thus a total of 12 hours (give or take).

So what does this mean? Well for starters, I need some sleep! But it also means I'm going to have to come up with a new way to keep up with things. This year's delay is exactly what I was trying to avoid. Last year had only had 1-3 hours in delay, but this went half a day (in my case night) without being online. So yeah, I'm facing two things here:

? I come up with a committee and/or find a co-host next year to help me count votes, make a dialog induced thread, etc.

-or-

? Resign.

As fun as this was doing the show, I'm not exactly the "best" person to do this. Due to my schedule last year, I moved it up 2 months. Sadly, that made things worse. So if I can get the first option to work, then I'm going to have to resign my position and see if anybody else wants to take over (which I'm starting to doubt because the work I had to do was insane, and God knows how much that will multiply with LBP2's new members.)

For now, I can relax. But hopefully next year I can deliver this more smoothly.

y'know what you should do next year, use the tools of LBP2 to make a video level of the awards, i'm pretty sure that many people would like to see that done, myself included, im sure that many people would love to assist.

And besides, I still need to provide the show on dialog format because I have only 1 day to tally votes, write the dialog, and PM the winners. So making a video will probably be after the show's done, but it'll take a while before it's done and the show will already be over.

Great idea anyways. If I can find someone (some people) who can make it work, then awesome! But until then....

Oi, what happened to the votes there?
Are you posting people without numbers if they only got one vote, or are you grouping thogether people that have the same amount of votes...or whet's going on there?

It's organized to show who got x number of nominations. If they don't have an (#) besides there name, it means they only got one vote.

Ex:
Example Award: User1(2), User2, User3, User4(3)

Basically, User1 gets 2 votes, User2 and User3 get one vote, and User4 gets 3 votes.

Hope that clears things up.
