Gamestop Ordering Problems

Archive: 8 posts

Hm, well, I didn't really know what to google since my problem is a bit specific, so meh, thought I might as well ask here.

Basically, I preordered Mass Effect 2 and LBP2 (Standard Edition) a week or so ago. However, now I've decided that the CE is a better thing to get (especially so that we can use all those costumes in the ARR PEE GEE). So I canceled my LBP2 Standard. I preordered in store and gave them ten dollars- five for each. I think I just got cheated out of five dollars... since I just checked my credit online and it's about what it was before I canceled it so not sure where the five dollars went. So did I just get conned out of that? Or does Gamestop have some system in place to do something with that?

Even if I got conned out of those five dollars, there is still something else. See, the CE is ship to home only. I was planning on getting LBP2 and ME2 same day at the store, but obviously if I get LBP2 CE then that has to be sent straight to my house, and so I'd prefer to just have them both come to me instead of just going out to get one and not the other. However, Handling for Day 1 is 10 bucks... each. So that's an extra 20 bucks for shipping day one... which, when you couple with the fact that I may already have lost 5 dollars, is a bit extreme. ESPECIALLY since I see that amazon would do shipping for free. Course that's Super Saving, and I'm not too sure if that would be day 1... >_>

So... basically, 2 problems: Can I get that 5 bucks back? >_> And should I cancel my ME2 order too and get it through amazon? Would that amazon thing be day 1 as well or would I have to wait? Me no can wait D: ... yeah, any help.

... And this may very well be my last thread in all of 2010. Wheeeee. No one cares. XD

not sure about the $5 but why not go to your store and ask them about the $5, and then pre order the CE in store? then just pick them both up.2010-12-31 23:21:00

You probably got ripped off for your 5 bucks at gamestop if you didn't ask them then & there at the time you cancelled your pre-order. I've pre-ordered lots of stuff at amazon for release date shipping & always got them the day of release though.2011-01-01 00:24:00

Well, your best bet is to actually call Gamestop. They are the ones that should deal with your problems and you should exige your 5$.2011-01-01 01:19:00

Also don't forget that most credits to accounts take a day or two and sometimes longer if credit is given after hours or on weekends. I have pre-ordered online a few times to save a trip to gamestop but I prefer now to just pick up in store due to being a tight *** on shipping 2011-01-01 01:32:00

I typed out more but server errors >_> Anywho, I ordered CE. But it's backordered and I can't cancel it cause it won't let me and it says to email them with order number but there is no order number. I want LBP2 sooner then whenever they can send it to me, so anyone know how to cancel it/ if the backorder can potentially still be shipped sooner? ;-;2011-01-14 00:23:00
