Music box

I was playing some of the musical levels and I realized that 99% forced you to pull/roll across to play. There's one up that dropped objects onto buttons tied to sounds. What I didn't see was a contraption that would work stationary and could loop.

Some of you may remember those crazy GIANT black CD's that people in my time called 'records'. See: Gramophone Record (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gramophone_record)

This level is based on the concept of having the music on a disk and a single point where the audio data is interpreted.

The level is called 'Mad World Music Box' by Eclectified (my PSN name) and, although it's horribly out of tune, I hope that it will evoke some new and exciting musical ideas from the level creating public.

That's pretty complex. It must have taken ages to wire up the song so that it played somewhat correctly.

I have to be completely honest though, making the scoreboard at the end completely out of fire was really annoying. :/

I always thought this was the practical way, for a normal level: have a small looping sound in the background for boss fights etc. This could also be done, once, to signal chest openings or something.2009-02-14 09:16:00
