Posting Templates for Sharing the Fun Forum

Archive: 6 posts

This is just a simple request for a posting template for the Sharing the Fun forum, to be used when LBP2 releases.

It will make it easier to Find Other Happy Gadders and to ask for Help, for example, if the thread title is preceded by LBP1: or LBP2:, which could very easily be integrated using a posting template. This would be similar to the way F4F works now in the Level Showcase.

The only reason that I suggest this is because I don't think the Sharing the Fun forum needs to be split between the games.

Edit: Like this -

The fact that we need to explicitly indicate which game they are for suggests that splitting the forum is actually more sensible....

Right?

Well, I just don't want there to be a full set of forums for each game. It takes long enough to scroll to the bottom as is.2010-12-30 17:34:00

Personally Id prefer that LBP1 be deprecated (which will implicitly be the case very soon after the release of LBP2 anyway) and moved away from the front page, as the PSP was for so long - keeps the forum sensibly organised and avoids overly long front page. Win - win.

I'm just not feeling the arbitrary and inconsistent model where some areas need separate LBP1 and LBP2 sections, but others are better with the split done by tagging the thread titles.

This is great! It's almost like being a fly on the wall in the "Mods only" forum. Oh, and to stay on topic, yes I like your idea.2010-12-30 23:59:00
