Aliens are constantly sneaking across Little Big Planet's border's. Start your shift and stop them! Hold the PSP in left hand sideways to play.
First off, I'd like to say that this level is more of a test of a new logic system (vehicle control system to be more precise), so some of the graphics or gameplay won't be as great as they would've been if this was a level I worked really hard on. It's still pretty interesting and fun though. I've made a vehicle control method for it similar to Famous Custard's Sack Invaders, except mine isn't tracker logic based, so it doesn't vibrate or glitch up.
I'd also like to point out that it does look a lot like Sack Invaders, but I'm not trying to copy it in any way, and I already talked to custard about it and he said it's ok with him.

5 stars and a heart!
I'm sure someone like Valmassoi or jeffcu28 or perhaps taffey could take pics... maybe
oh yes! feedback silly me, OK um... the logic went very well and the visuals looked great!

would've liked the aliens to come down to lbp after a while and kill you. but i guess that would be too much like custard's? i dunno

edit: no levels for you to feedback yet... feedback bank, theres an idea... nah

Very impressive level Ricky. True, it did remind me of Custard's Sack Invaders, but not too much. There didn't seem to be a massive variety in the way the enemies moved or where they spawned, but as you said, it was more of a test for a new logic system. I'm not sure what the logic system was, but everything seemed to work really well. The only problem I had was that when I pressed "R" the bombs were a little unresponsive at times. Other than that, there isn't much to say about the level. It had a simple but great look to it. And it was fun to play!

Gave it Five Stars and a Heart. Keep up the good work!

Thanks a lot for the feedback guys! Jimmy, I'll give you an IOU until your next level.
Eagerneph- I was having some issues with weight, so cardboard sits on top of you instead of something grabbable. I made inside of the ship out of weightless invisimaterial, and I needed top weght so the box would rest on you. I'm afraid I can't fix your shooting bug because what was probably happening to you was you weren't close enough to a grabbable side and it wouldn't register.
Also, the 'logic', if that was a proper name to use, was to get the ship to only move in 2 directions instead of 4. So really it's a directional restrictor for vehicle control if that makes sense.
And to clarify things, I had originally just made the logic, but to test everything out I put in 2 moving targets and hooked up an emitter. I later decided to go back, make it space themed, make the targets aliens and hook them up to respawn, and added a scoring system to make it a level.
Thanks again for the feedback!

Ohhh, I understand. Well, the side to side effect worked perfectly. It really only did move from side to side. Great job with that. Were you still doing F4F?2010-12-30 22:18:00

Oh, I played, this level and got 1000 points and almost forgot to give you feedback!

So,

Well, the LittleBigPlanet made of stickers was REALLY good!
It looked very realistic!

The grab switch could have been better if set to 1 shot.

Overall, it was fun!

So,

thanks quest, PM me when you need feedback. I had been having issues with being able to grab all the time, so if it was 1shot its possible some activations wouldn't work. I also dislike how with 1 shot you can shoot as much out as you want, and if it's limited they dissolve. So I went with normal on in the end.2011-01-16 03:27:00

No feedback necessary.

I play levels for the heck of it!

It's only on occasion when I ACTUALLY remember to give feedback.

That was a good idea, however it lacked a bit in the execution. I personally disliked that ther was no way to die or lose. Other than that though, good gameplay!

Okay... just so you know if you didn't read the top I purposely didn't add in a way to die or enemies attack, it's just a demo of how to get sideways topdown levels working in lbp PSP. If I was going to work on a full scale level with it it would have better graphics and gameplay. Thanks for the feedback though.2011-01-27 04:59:00
