Wind beneath my wings...

As I was listening to this song at work for the millionth time...grr

I was curious...being this game prides itself on physics...

If wind was a controllable element in the game for us creative folk...

Then would we be able to achieve flight with a sackboy piloting our cardboard creations...

we could under current known ingame means incorporate propellers...

but lets try gliding before we get too complicated...

Without lift its impossible...thats where well placed fans could come in...

Wind in general would be a fantastic addition to the game...:eek:

And yes I have seen the air balloon video...thats very kool...but not quite what I want...

I apologize if this was already discussed...and if so please show the link so I can read your guy's thoughts...

We know that there are jetpacks and air balloons so far, but I agree that wind would be a welcome addition.

Imagine attaching a parachute to a sackboy and having him hover over an updraft.. there's so many ways you could use this in gameplay.

I have a feeling it wont be in the release version of the game, because we haven't seen any evidence of it yet. At the very least it could perhaps be DLC?

Wind would be an awesome addition. I don't know if anyone played Kya: Dark Lineage on the PS2... it was kind of a sleeper hit, very few people played it but it was an amazing game, similar to Beyond Good & Evil in many ways. It had some really really interesting use of wind, from getting to a higher platforms, to transporting you to half way round the game world, sky diving while dodging obstacles and wind-surfing basically using a snow board.

It was a really cool game and one of relatively few that I've completed 100% (did all "side-missions"). If wind could be incorporating in similar ways it would add a hell of a lot to the gameplay and creative possibilities in LBP.
