Mobile Theme

Could LBPC get a mobile theme activated? A mobile theme is a site theme that simplifies the browsing - everything is text, therefore everything loads correctly when using simpler devices. Running LBPC as it is forces you to disable images altogether on a PSP, it's simply too memory heavy. With a mobile theme, every browser would be able to get the best LBPC experience for their system.

To be honest, I'm quite surprised we don't have an option for one already, it's one of the easiest things you can do with vBulletin (if I can do it you KNOW it's easy) and it's very helpful for a community you know browses from PSP's and PS3's.

I know there's a Lite version... Which is simplified.2010-12-28 14:19:00

Well, I know there used to be one for sure, but after searching around, I can't find it. It may have been in the previous site build...

Although, you can turn off all images through your General Settings. The only downside is it disables images for you computer as well.

That's the thing, turning off images wrecks the site look. Everything gets shifted around. I hope they add a mobile theme to fix this.2010-12-28 14:34:00

It would be nice. I'm on a mobile device at the moment. The buttons are too darn small...2010-12-28 14:38:00

I vote for Tapatalk (http://www.tapatalk.com). It's a FREE plugin download for the site. It's cheap for the user, too.2010-12-28 17:13:00

That's an app though, specifically for phones. We're talking about a mobile theme - which would let everyone see a stripped-down-to-text version of LBPC.2010-12-28 19:07:00

If you're not talking about a version for phones, then what do you mean about a mobile version? Laptops can handle it as is, and what else can be called a mobile device? I guess I am not getting it.2010-12-31 09:37:00

A PSP, or, say, an iPhone or something. I find it frustrating as well, the PSP browser is slow enough as it is! This site, with all its lovely banners, splats, and pictures, even runs slowly on my computer.. I don't dare try it on my PSP!2011-01-11 03:30:00
