Logic Help N' Stuff

Archive: 7 posts

Hey Iv been working on a level for a while now and I need some help with a couple things..

One, I have a vehicle...that activates when the player ENTERS....but i want to make it so it stay activated even after they leave the vehicle....(the wheels) right now IF i jump while in it...it stops...don't want that!

Second....the Wheels on this thing kinda of take some abuse.....they are held on with a motor bolt...they break very easily, Is there anyway to make them more durable? or even indestructible?

And lastly, How do people make sack boys spawn at different gates that they haven't even passed by yet?

THANKS!!!!!!

First: Get a dissolve block with a mag key on it. Nearby, place a mag key switch so the range is just on the key, but it is still actavated. Invert the switch and attach it to the weeles. Place any switch in the vehicle to dissolve the dissolve with the key on it. The wheels will go and never stop. (you cant get another key in the switch in the range. It could be easy to attach a key to the end of the track so the car stops.

To help the wheels, it would work better if parts are turned to stone. part of the wheels itself or what the wheel is attached to

For the last question, it is possible to do this by linking a switch wire to the checkpoint like you do to a piece of dissolver. E.g:

Sensor switch + wire + checkpoint = checkpoint activated
Dissolver key + wire + checkpoint = checkpoint activated
And so on.

Also it can be used to test play a part of a level without playing all of it. Just rig an inverted switch on the checkpoint and then it will override the other checkpoints.

Hope that helps

wow thanks everyone, because of you I made great progress on my level last night, I hope to post my level soon!
@Incinerator22 - Wow your are CREDIT TO TEAM ( tf2 reference) but seriously that's whole workshop is so amazing, I think I learned more last night than I did in the whole time I'v had lbp..

I do have one more question...When Little Big Planet 2 Comes out Can we edit our old levels to include lbp2 features? because there is a Spot where I would like to include some things....let alone make sure my lighting and everything still loooks good after the slight engine changes?
