The cube game (psychological game)

Archive: 17 posts

Alright, I bumped over this while being over the internet (though sorry if it has been posted before)! It is a game that will try to imagine what kind of person you are, after you have thought out a series of different stuff. Now, this is not really a game, I just want you guys to proceed with the youtube video below and check the link to see what you got. Then put it optionally here and discuss wether or not it fits!

First warning, it is a desert, not a dessert! (as in cake etc.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIC3zBUn_80&feature=related

And here is the link... http://www.personal-development-coach.net/the-cube-game.html
...Both are separate because looking at it in advance would be cheating!

My result...
Appearently I have a not too big ego, though that usually varies Strong person (some aspects, yes)... What was most surprising though was how hitting the colour I chose for the cube was (yellow). Exactly on the spot. XD The horse metaphor is kind of confusing to me atm, along with the troubling storm too...

the cub is small and white so I can't see through it- so I have a small ego and am a very private person. Fair enough.

I imagined the Portal Cube? Is that a strong or weak material? :/

I saw a floating 3d cube, so I guess I'm a deep minded dreamer. Fair enough.

It was flying in the air, so I don't know how the placement part works :/

I saw a portal cube, which I guess is white, so I guess I'm innocent and don't have strong opinions. Slightly true.

My ladder was leading on no one... so I guess I has no friends. True enough.

It was brown (basically an unpainted ladder) so I guess I like stability in friends. Pretty much true. I saw about 10 rungs though, so I guess it would count friends on LBPC? I unno :/

My horse was wild, and FREE- so I guess I don't want commitment? I unno. lol

I saw a small storm, which means I don't have many problems, which definitely isn't rue :/

Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't. D:

The cube was medium-sized and a medium shade of gray, and it wasn't transparent. So that means I have a medium-sized ego, I'm not too much of a negative person and not too much of a positive person, and it was solid, so that means I hide my thoughts and feelings from other people most of the time, and really don't like talking about myself. And all of that is true, I guess. It was on the ground in the center of the desert, and it was in 3D, rather than just a flat side of it being visible. Which means I'm down-to-earth, have a deep personality, and...that I like praise and attention. Which...is sorta true...>___>

The ladder was pretty far away. That's probably because I don't see my friends very often and feel pretty distant from them, and I feel like they don't seem to care anymore. It was leaning on something other than the cube, but I don't know what that means. It was made of wood, so it was brown. It had a pretty good amount of rungs, which means I have a lot of friends, which is true, because I have a lot of friends online...But only a few in real life.

The horse doesn't really apply to me...

The storm was pretty far away, which means I'm calm with during situations and don't like being angry. It seemed more like an approaching storm, because it wasn't raining yet or anything and it was in the distance...Which probably means I feel like I'll have a lot of problems in the future.

All of it was pretty true...

My Result:

Medium size cube, medium ego.
The cube is not clear and it was made out of metal.
Cube was in the ground and it was 3-Dimmensional.
The cube was in the middle of wherever, and it was black.
The ladder was near the cube, it was brown, and had many rungs.
The horse was a wild horse, it was away from the cube, the horse did not move.
The horse was brown and radient.
Big storm, far away from the cube and it had no plans on leaving that spot any time soon.

Dead on..

My cube was approx. 1' x1' and black, 3D (which is the definition of a cube), and it was made out of cardboard.
The Ladder was light and worn out with 5 or 6 rungs. it was standing straight up and near the cube.
The horse was tied down white with mottled spots and domesticated.
The Storm was fierce but small and far away.

Huh, this is nice...

Cube was blue (knowledge, loyalty, calmness - pretty correct), made of plastic like Happy Meal toys (so I guess it;s kind of a mid point between emotionally strong and sensible), on the ground (down to Earth - also accurate). You can't see throug it; I have a knack for being introverted. As for location, the cube was neither in the middle of the desert nor at it's extremes, which is accurate, as I usually don't mind not being the center of attention (although I secretly do like it). As for the size, it was about 1.5 times bigger than the avergae closed fist (think a bit bigger than a pokeball); I never do try to flaunt my ego much. I did see it 3-D, so it means I'm deep? Idk, lol.

The ladder I imagined a brownish black, so sophisticated and stable friends? It's the like I type to seek out, yes. As for the rungs, I imagined about 5-8 rungs (pretty much a ladder for getting things in high shelves) and I just imagined it... leaning against nothing. Just standing up in mid-air. Odd. It wasn't relatively far from the cube, it was a dune away.

The horse was a bit further, which concerns me. It was brown, so stable. Good. I just imagined it standing there, which is odd, as I find energetic girls attractive. But it wasn't tied to anything, so yeah. As for it's looks, hey, I don't know what an attractive horse looks like. It was just a horse.

The storm was looming but distant. I don't know what is defined as a sbig storm, but it looked pretty big, and I guess I am a dramatic (in contrast tot he blue cube - I flip-flop often) perso when it comes to personal problems.

Alright, now that you guys have my psych profile, nothing's stopping you from penetrating my mind and unleashing all my secrets

She's too pretty to be smart. Oh yeah, and deserts don't have corners girl.

So anyway. I really lost control when she said "imagine..."

So I imagined a desert okay, but it was a wild west themed desert like Red Dead Redemption.

Then instead of a cube, I imagined a crate to go with the western theme. Would that mean I like fitting in?

Then I imagined a wooden ladder (again to fit in with the western theme)...with two legs so it fell because it wasn't leaning against anything. And it wasn't close to the crate or far away from it, one side was pointing to the crate and the other side was pointing away. So would that mean I have some close friends and some distant ones? It had a lot of rungs.

and the Horse was free Roaming, (and I could've sworn it was a unicorn- would that mean it was ***?) didn't think about it that much, it had a saddle.

and finally the storm was really big, but it was BEAUTIFUL. one side of the desert was the storm (and I love the rain) and the other was the shining sun creating a MASSIVE silver lining. Oh my goodness it was pretty. And the storm was moving, but not very fast because all storms have to move. (would that mean I like being dramatic when dealing with problems? But I see the beauty in those problems?)

so sorry guys, my mind kinda jumbled everything up. I think it just means that I'm really unpredictable.

My result:
I saw a cube that must have been the size of a Rubiks cube, so I don't have a big ego. It's somewhat transparent and floating, so I'm kinda shy and a dreamer. It's a 3D cube, so I'm deep, apparently. It's a light gray cube, and I do like gray, so I am a likeable person.
The ladder seems to be close to the cube, so I guess I'm close to my friends, and it's red wich means I chose the color of ''dominance, power, love and sexual energy. If your cube is red it also can mean that you are an attention seeker.'' I'm not sure that's entirely true but meh. Not many rugs not many friends...
The horse is black and calm...it's kinda close to the cube, which means sort of close to my partner I've never had, and he seems to be calm.
The storm I saw was big, so I make a big drama out of everything() and I'm experiencing problems.

Most of it is true...

Hmm, not sure about the accuracy of this test considering I had some contradictory results. My cube was massive and opaque; not sure I could say I have a planet-sized ego but I am a pretty private person, but the ladder was also against the cube indicating a closeness to friends, which at the moment definately isn't true. The storm is huge a pervasive, indicating severe personal problems and concerns about them, but while I do tend to obcess over my problems my personal life is probably at it's most stable in years.

Oh, and apparently my ideal romantic partner is gorgeous.

Interesting, pretty accurate. But it doesn't take into account that what we imagine may be influenced by certain objects (like Rock's Portal Cube).

Cube: Multicoloured, (confuzzled now) -however its was like some building blocks I had as a kid, medium size in the middle of the desert, made of plastic. So hardish I guess, also 3d and on the ground. So I guess I am a deep person, (funny I have two clashing personalities. :/), who is down to earth with a medium ego. However I drift off constantly, so down-to-earth is wrong.

Ladder: Metal, silver, medium distance, medium height and amount of rungs, leaning on nothing. Mostly right, I am quite a loner, but I like company sometimes too.

Horse: Doesn't really count, I was imagining my mums pet.

You can "decode" that if you want The cube is buried in sand, it's made of plastic and it's white. It's also glowing.

You realise you are all saying "Wow that's pretty acurate" because they are using generic statements that could apply to pretty much anyone.

It's a common trick used by fruadsters, horoscopes and religions for centuries.

Well yeah, asking questions about what you imagine when you think of something are obviously going to give you hints/facts about the type of person you are. It's your imagination, so it's going to reflect your personality and how you feel.

I guess your cube was very damp.

Well yeah, asking questions about what you imagine when you think of something are obviously going to give you hints/facts about the type of person you are. It's your imagination, so it's going to reflect your personality and how you feel.

In order for any of what you imagine to have any context, they would need to do a deep psychological study of you first, before being able to decipher the "meaning" of what you imagine. otherwise it's just a series of generic statements that could apply to anyone (as they so obviously do).

I got into trouble with HR at work because they were conducting some useless survey similar to this.

One of the questions;
Which shape would you describe your personality as?
Red Triangle, Green Circle, Blue Squiggle, Orange Hexagon or Yellow Arrow.

They went around the room asking people to describe themselves as a shape (ie; Girl 1 "I would say a yellow arrow" - Hr Girl "That means that you are a positive, forward thinking person who likes to plan ahead" etc) ;

Then they got to me, my answer was "None of those shapes denote a personality type, this is a complete waste of everyones time" - so she put me down as a Red Triangle

Then I lost it,I told her that the reason "green circle" meant that someone had an 'easy going' personality and someone with a red triangle was confrontational was because of the assosiation of those colours to traffic signal lights... and that human beings were alot more emotionally complex than a set of traffic lights!

I was then asked to leave - the HR girl didn;t like being told that her job was a complete waste of time. Luckily my Boss agreed with me, and doesn;t send me on those idiotic workshops anymore
