Hey people, So I've been working on a relatively general 'Zombies' level in the beta for the last, say, 2 months. It's going quite well, but I'm not exactly sure it would be quite appropriate to brand the teleporters and zombies with the swastika. Although (I know the swastika is the old sign for peace and doesn't resemble evil) the swastika doesn't resemble badness, I feel that LBP is a game for all religions and ages, and I believe some people may find it disturbing, regardless. So, should I keep it to normal zombies of brand it? Thanks guys & gals, Cyber

try to put what you have said here into the description of the level, and maybe at the start of the level itself, and since it is a trademarked "game", i don't think it can be taken that offensiviely, go ahead with the swastickas imo, and if the people are going to play a "nazi" zombie level, what should they expect?

Hiya Personally, I'd just stay away from swastikas. If it ever did represent peace, it certainly doesn't now and is quite a distressing symbol for Jewish people and anyone else who was horrified by the events during WW2. If this was a dramatic representation of events from that time, yeah, the swastika would have historical context and therefore be appropriate, but in a family rated game, I see it as a red flag for people to Good Grief your level. Of course, there have been other Nazi-Zombie levels - I've never been enticed to play any of them - but it's ultimately up to you, as it's your level, but I just don't see that it's necessary... that's my two-cents worth. Why can't you come up with some other kind of zombie? Something uniquely yours? Just a thought Good luck with your project.

Do something similar to swastika, but modify it That way people can't say, "It's the swastika!! REPORT!! REPORT!!"

Even if he made a similar design to the swastika, people will still good grief it. Anyone remember the thread about a sticker in LBP2 BETA that looked kinda like a swastika? The original poster of that thread was jewish and even though it wasn't really a swastika, he was still concerned or offended enough to start a thread about it. Players of this game don't want to be remninded of a time when their people were targeted for extermination. Put yourself in their shoes and just leave the nazi part out. Make something else. Sure it fit into that game because it was world war 2 game or whatever, but this game is rated for Everyone. There are a million other possibilities for a zombie. How bout nurses, or schoolchildren?

Maybe you could have a menu at the start: 'Show graphic material? Y/N? (Graphic material includes swastikas)' Unless some kid was sadistic enough to select 'Y' to deliberately moderate you, you'd be fine.

Make your own symbol and come up with a story for it and BAM herpes...era...I mean BAM you have your own little swastika.
