Grab String

Archive: 6 posts

It''s pretty common, you get across a gap by holding onto a piece of string.

How do I get this effect? I guess it's some really small grab material, do I need a glitch?

Yes, you need theck grababable material, make a line of it, shrink it until invisible, and glue it infront of the rope.

Hope that helps!

Another method I have seen is where you make very small dissolve ovals and glue them together end to end. Then you shrink them down and put them in front of the string on the thin layer and it allows the player to fall past the string but also grab on to it. Also the other method works pretty good aswell depending that you cant get on the top

Hope that helps!

Its not on the thin layer, that's the theck method I ws talking about...
They used ovals because they most likely didn't have theck material of their own, so they couldn't smear the material in a line.

But yeah...that's is the same thing I was talking about.
(You can't grab on to thin material...)

For the love of sackboy, don't use ovals!!

It will eat up your thermo! Just make a long, thin strip of theck material (also known as checkpoint thick material, which you can find it in many places). Turn off the grid and shrink the material down. It will eventually go invisible. Place it directly in front of the string, as suggested above, and you're all set.
