Little Big planet Terminology?

Archive: 4 posts

Not really sure where this belongs, but im thinking to explain certain layers it should be like, for the thick layers:
A,B,C (Back to front)
and for the thin layers:
w,x,y,z

so if your like hey that should go in the Cy spot, then people would know front row, but behind the object. Or like this

A B C
/ / /
w x y z

it makes sense though, because a and b can share the same layer in between. Anyway what do you think?

This doesn't belong in Feedback, as it really isn't a suggestion for the site itself. I've moved it.

EDIT: Looks like another Mod got to it before I did, but it's all the same.

Linque did a very nice job of explaining this here, and even going into how thick layers glued together interact with thin layers in between

https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=3823&highlight=thin+layer

personally i prefer the notation of A, B, C for the thick layers and xa, ab, bc, cx for the thin layers. i have to pause a second to think about which one y would be, but lowercase (a modification to Linque's notations which were all upper case) pairs make a lot of sense to me (they are small, and in between a pair of layers).

if we're voting for a universal terminology, i vote for:

A B C
xa ab bc cx
