by: pickled-punk Visit the oldest quarter in the city. Choose your own quests. Hunt butterflies for the Hatter. Join the resistance or mantain law and order. Climb the rooftops and explore the closed off mines underneath the district. http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=28495 Great video made by Cog: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVhWzURhctQ&feature=player_embedded http://lbp.me/v/wvwx7w http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=28490 http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=28496 http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=28493 http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=28489 Cameo's by ShadowCrazy (the White Queen's own court-tailor), Dinaralin, Rohar Dragontamer, Shropshirelass and Skalio-. Thanks for the great sacklings to populate my town with! Additional dialogue by Dinaralin. Munitionbox and little red mini-boss at the end built by the incendiary Rohar Dragontamer. http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=28491 Cameo note: For those of you who'd like a cameo of their favourite sackling in one of my levels, please send me a cool picture of the costume, with a little description. I'll try and give your sackperson a nice place in one of my upcoming levels. The costume has to fit the atmosphere of the level offcourse. DLC that I can use: GotY, the free seasonal stuff, Ico pack, Pirates of the Carribean, Watchmen & Marvel-costumes, and Ragdoll Kung Fu. | 2010-12-21 10:12:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
loved it was very pleased with the visuals and the environment...and that poor hatter...all he wants is the queens love...but what a snappy dresser lol you should include pics to your MAIN POSTS whenever you start threads...it makes it so much more awesome to people so they can see what to expect | 2010-12-21 10:46:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
Thanks Shadowcrazy. Indeed: a very snapper dresser that Hatter (check out those frills around the neck!) After you collect all the butterflies, go and check back on the poor Hatter, see if that would put a smile on his face... | 2010-12-21 14:53:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
If I knew you were going to use the cranky demon as a mini-boss I would have spent more than 10 minutes building it!! I can't wait to play it tonight!! | 2010-12-21 17:28:00 Author: RoharDragontamer Posts: 397 |
If I knew you were going to use the cranky demon as a mini-boss I would have spent more than 10 minutes building it!! I can't wait to play it tonight!! i liked him how he is...still more like a micro-boss lol | 2010-12-21 22:13:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
Micro-boss... lol. | 2010-12-22 08:23:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
so now that the BETA is pretty much over (soon they said near/in january) what will you do? are you going to try and RE-CREATE the levels in the full game? or are you going to make brand new levels? also will the Shadow Hatter be a part of your series? or was he just a one time thing in the adventurer's District...lol he fits perfect in your world...so i was thinking he could be an OFFICIAL character in your series...maybe even a GUIDE that helps the player in times through-out the story EDIT: oh and one other issue i had with the level was that Shadow Hatter's animation type is some character...but it should be a normal sackboy animation type so you can have his REAL smile...the one in all my pics and such...the CHESHIRE CAT-looking smile lol | 2010-12-22 08:27:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
I've already fixed a lot of small stuff: bouncepads, speech-tempoo, new button etc. I'll try and get to the others soon. Indeed I'll save the next levels I'm building for when LBP2 hits the stores. I'm working on Eve's Gaol now, and I am starting on some new stuff already, Origami's Secret Workshop and another with working title: Hanging Gardens. I'm planning on linking the various districts to create one big sprawling city, where you can hop between different quarters using the level link gates. I think there are a lot more possibilities with the new game. I'd like a bit of an RPG-feel to my levels, but without the menu's etc. I'll probably redo the two City levels (Moolah & Adventurers) first, when LBP2 gets out. Then I'll have to rebuild (and expand!) the first Deliver me from Eve-level (the one with the stickering tutorial) & finish up Eve's Gaol. In the end it will be quite some levels, with a large story crossing the City and the Interzone ("the cardboard world" ). Expect new cameo's for the Shadowhatter! Also the White Queen, Mr. Punch and a host of other powerhungry Creators. Thanks for your support, mate, and see you online! | 2010-12-22 08:54:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
I love you style, specially this gum fish thing character that you put on your every level, i hope you actually make quests inside it. For tip, i know it's hard right now but you could get some original music for instead of Seven's FF transcripts, by "get" i mean request from someone if you can't do by yourself ;] Also try to back up levels, theres small light of hope that they eventually might work on full game | 2010-12-22 14:32:00 Author: Shadowriver Posts: 3991 |
This is absolutely the most beautiful level you've published. The terrain, decorations, attention to detail, character costumes, just everything was brilliant. I loved the story line and you had my kids rolling in hysterics over needing to me a mug to proceed. (I did have to explain that there were no good whiskey glass objects that could be used, which is a complete failure by Mm, imho) I had to play it twice, because I found the beer mug right away and had me drink it right away, so I ended the level without getting to the top the first time through. I was sure I was supposed to do something with the green giant but i'll be darned if I could figure it out. (wait a minute, I accidentally threw the sponge block off that balcony before I threw the green guy up onto the step next to the tower, so I couldn't jump of there with him. Wonder if I needed to try that? Guess I'm playing it again tonight, lol.) Awesome stuff, mate! I just had another idea. I think it would be a blast if you and I started cross connecting our levels. Since you introduced Pyrostilskin into the Deliver Me from Eve series, I see no reason not to have cameos by the Hatter and/or others in mine. What an amazing adventure someone could have jumping back and forth between our worlds! | 2010-12-22 15:17:00 Author: RoharDragontamer Posts: 397 |
Thanks Shadowriver! The fish-monger is one of my favourite characters too, his name is Henry S. Whitebait, and he'll have a quest for you soon enough. http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=19281 | 2010-12-22 18:50:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
Thanks Rohar, coming from you that means a lot! And good the kids liked it ;-)) Indeed: a shame there are no whiskey-glasses. Are you listening MM? We desperately need a booze DLC, complete with dirty ashtrays and Tom Waits sound effects! The crossovers between our worlds are a great idea. I think our worlds make a great fit. Let's go for it! | 2010-12-22 18:56:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
have cameos by the Hatter and/or others in mine. What an amazing adventure someone could have jumping back and forth between our worlds! this idea I like especially having that...snappy dresser....in so many other levels | 2010-12-22 21:58:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
Queued. There's nothing else I can say This looks really gorgeous. | 2010-12-22 22:08:00 Author: Oddmania Posts: 1305 |
Thanks Shadowriver! The fish-monger is one of my favourite characters too, his name is Henry S. Whitebait, and he'll have a quest for you soon enough. I didn't ment just a fish, but thole level, or i missed something? ^^' | 2010-12-23 01:22:00 Author: Shadowriver Posts: 3991 |
loved it all...just hope next time the hatter's animation will be sackboy...cuz yeah the other animations make his smile look weird...not at all how he's supposed to smile...so yeah lol remember shadow hatter must have sackboy animation to have the PERFECT smile which is the 2/3 one jus sayin | 2010-12-23 02:11:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
Just fixed his smile... perfect now Cool pictures by the way. | 2010-12-23 17:58:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
Just fixed his smile... perfect now Cool pictures by the way. no prob wanted to keep your level alive so I kept adding pics of beautiful scenery oh and i STILL can't find out what to do with that guy with the grabinator LOL | 2010-12-23 19:14:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
After seeing this photo, I was sold on it!! *queued* http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=28490 | 2010-12-23 19:27:00 Author: Weretigr Posts: 2105 |
lol oh you too? lol EDIT: also currently going to design a rabbit for the eve level for more of that "ALICE IN WONDERLAND" feel your world does... but since it wont be transferable in LBP2 idk if i should make it in LBP1 instead | 2010-12-23 19:31:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
I like the sound of that, Shadow, and while we're talking Wonderland, how about a blue hookah smoking catterpillar?? Better make it in LBP1, at the moment, I think. | 2010-12-24 13:38:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
I like the sound of that, Shadow, and while we're talking Wonderland, how about a blue hookah smoking catterpillar?? Better make it in LBP1, at the moment, I think. suck at making characters lol im only good with costumes....as for the hookah i wouldn't recommend it as you'd probably get moderated for kids confusing it with marijuana usage...so maybe that character/item shouldnt be included | 2010-12-24 20:28:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
It was really fun to play. Everything was gorgeous. The music was great. I loved it! and a Heart | 2010-12-24 21:18:00 Author: Chump Posts: 1712 |
Thanks Chuck! Maybe I'll have the catterpillar blowing soap-bubbles instead, no harm in that ;-) | 2010-12-26 14:25:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
good idea | 2010-12-26 20:32:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
I've seen videos of your levels, and they're both story mode worthy, or maybe better. And i would like to have one of my sackpeople in your levels, but alas, I haz no beta Although I might be able to upload a picture of my sackboy from LBP1 so you could recreate it, just a question. | 2010-12-28 06:07:00 Author: daddy_doodle Posts: 199 |
Thanks, daddy_doodle. I'll be redoing my levels (and adding a few more ;-) when LBP2 hits the streets. Send me a cool picture and I'll try and give your sackling a cool place in one of my levels. | 2010-12-28 18:54:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
I have 2 costumes you can choose from, I have an adventuring professor (prof. layton+indiana jones), and a teen scientist(he's just a casual epic character) I might be able to get the pics later today, and just a note, to make my scientist (Jay Brailen) you need eggman's goggles and william turner's hair. | 2010-12-28 19:20:00 Author: daddy_doodle Posts: 199 |
soooo pickled...you gonna make a team for this series? or are you doing it all on your own? | 2010-12-28 22:09:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
Here they are http://img577.imageshack.us/img577/511/aphoto1.jpg (http://img577.imageshack.us/i/aphoto1.jpg/) http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/6103/aphoto2.jpg (http://img255.imageshack.us/i/aphoto2.jpg/) he also needs knuckles gloves, but any white gloves would do | 2010-12-29 01:02:00 Author: daddy_doodle Posts: 199 |
too many top hats are populating this world...the Shadow Hatter won't be pleased lol :/ soo I vote for your knuckle dude lol | 2010-12-29 02:24:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
Vid. NAO! | 2010-12-29 02:28:00 Author: iBubek Posts: 682 |
Those two were my favourite customs, and the "knuckles dude"'s name is Jay Brailen. | 2010-12-29 02:46:00 Author: daddy_doodle Posts: 199 |
Hey DaddyDoodle, I like the Jay Brailen dude. Can you give the names of the articles of clothing you used? (Hard to make out on the picture) I haven't got the Sonic DLC btw. Maybe we can use the Doc Ock goggles instead? DLC that I do have: GotY, the free seasonal stuff, Ico pack, Pirates of the Carribean, Watchmen & most of the Marvel-costumes (excluding pack 2). Hi Shadowcrazy, no need for a team. I'll create the levels myself (with a little help from my friends off course). | 2010-12-29 11:15:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
Yeah could we see a video before the beta ends and it gets wiped?? Some of us don't have the beta and I really enjoyed the last one | 2010-12-29 12:08:00 Author: Dangerlove Posts: 88 |
Hi Shadowcrazy, no need for a team. I'll create the levels myself (with a little help from my friends off course). hey friend...well if you ever need help with VOICE ACTING (if you ever implement this in your levels) or decorating your level with DECOS for details then feel free to give me a hollar...I feel since Shadow Hatter will be an official character in your series that I should help around cuz i don't want to seem ungreatful for such an honor so yeah if you ever need anything from me and my skill let me know | 2010-12-29 12:24:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
I'll remake the level for LBP2, Dangerlove, so you can check it out yourself. Thanks, Shadow. Don't know about voiceacting yet, maybe I'll experi, ent with that when the full game gets out. So many new feautures to explore ;-) | 2011-01-01 09:43:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
I'm definitely going to be voice acting at some point. I have some doozies, up my sleeve . | 2011-01-03 15:18:00 Author: RoharDragontamer Posts: 397 |
I haven't got a microphone myself. Is it possible to use the recordings of others then? | 2011-01-05 19:37:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
I haven't got a microphone myself. Is it possible to use the recordings of others then? yeah, voice recording is basically used with a magic mouth...so all WE'D have to do is make a microchip with magic mouths with our recordings and just send the object to you since you're in my friends list so yeah you can get them and use em (but i think you can't edit the voice recording) | 2011-01-05 22:04:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
Indeed: a shame there are no whiskey-glasses. Are you listening MM? We desperately need a booze DLC, complete with dirty ashtrays and Tom Waits sound effects! never expected to see Tom Waites referred to in here I did a tom waits 'homage' song on youtube, would sit nice into your theme, but don't know if wav/mp3 files can be imported etc, anyhoo you're welcome to use it if it's possible http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrPyvaCzr3A | 2011-01-05 23:27:00 Author: MuddledMuppet Posts: 115 |
Shadowcrazy, Rohar; take care of those voices, I'm gonna need them ;-) And I like your songs, MuddledMuppet, especially the Dirt in the Ground-cover. A Waits-voiced busker, hanging around the streetcorner of one of my streets, would take to my world like a fish to water. I like to mix some melancholy and plain weirdness with my LBP: Waits, William Burroughs, Joseph Conrad stuff like that. | 2011-01-07 07:42:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
Shadowcrazy, Rohar; take care of those voices, I'm gonna need them ;-) hehe seems like the Shadow Hatter will be a fully voiced character hehe I like this news also since you know the BETA will end the 10th...which is technically 3 days...maybe you should EDIT one of your levels with you and the Shadow Hatter and ALL the other great characters in one area saying goodbye to the beta and that you'll be back in the fullgame...as a cool cutscene...maybe even have someone record it so it can be up on youtube just a thought | 2011-01-07 08:09:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
finally played lbp and remembered the clothes Wellington boots, will turner hair, plain natural skin, some sort of goggles, and pvc raincoat and pvc pants there ya' go, don't know what you'd use him for maybe the servant of a rival queen trying to get master origami first... | 2011-01-08 03:15:00 Author: daddy_doodle Posts: 199 |
actually a good idea...master origami seems like a character that can get you most things that you want...so a valuable asset to a queen as for a servant for the rival queen...that's a pretty good idea since i'm the servant of the white queen | 2011-01-08 04:34:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
I have a whole handful of costumes I can give to you! Since the full games comes out in like, 9 days, and I don't have the beta, can I just show them to you online when LBP2 is released? Speaking of which, I never got around to sending you a PSN friend request... I have a few costume pictures on LBP.me, however; they are pretty outdated and old! Hmmm.... If you'd like, I can make some costumes in advance? I love making costumes! Just in case you forgot, are we still planning on creating together in LBP2? Crap, I need to stop rambling... Thanks! | 2011-01-08 05:54:00 Author: Super_Clone Posts: 849 |
maybe in one part shadow hatter and Jay are fighting? as for a rival queen, Queen Victoria... Or a red queen? (Eve painted red) | 2011-01-08 17:24:00 Author: daddy_doodle Posts: 199 |
Shadow & DaddyDoodle, I've got a big conflict planned for the Deliver me from Eve-series: indeed there are a lot of other power hungry creators who would like to take the throne of the White Queen (like Lady Masquette, Mr. Punch and others.) There'll be a chance to choose your faction later on... Sounds great, Superclone, send me some cool costumes when LBP2 hits the stores. In the meantime I'm making good progress on two new levels: Eve's Gaol & the Hanging Gardens. | 2011-01-09 11:55:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
Just remade Adventurer's District as full-fledged LBP2 level. Go check it out! | 2011-01-22 18:27:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
have you got a video on youtube of this game? i'm currently updating another forum (not a LBP specific forum) with movies, tutorials and news on LBP2. i have the other one in this series up but not this one. i'm also linking to this forum and promoting the guys over here! | 2011-01-22 19:27:00 Author: GribbleGrunger Posts: 3910 |
Just remade Adventurer's District as full-fledged LBP2 level. Go check it out! glorious I'll have to go play immediately. as your personal tailor I'll be sure to give you some top-quality costumes to go with the rest of the series | 2011-01-22 21:26:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
Hey Cliffbo, no video of this level yet. Although I do have one of the other beta-level I'm currently redoing. The mighty CogSpartan did a great recording of my level, see it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ha4pn7qIA8&feature=player_embedded Thanks Shadowcrazy, I already found a spot for your cwazy wabbit. | 2011-01-22 22:04:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |

aw dude you already remade adventurers district?!?!?!?! i knew you workled fast, but still thats amazing ill play it asap - also around about how complete are the Gaol and Hanging Gardens levels? | 2011-01-22 22:47:00 Author: Skalio- Posts: 920 |
Already queued. This level was always my favorite out of the series. | 2011-01-22 23:36:00 Author: TheZimInvader Posts: 3149 |
Thanks guys! Eve's Gaol is about 60% done (structure is up, but needs to be populated with bots. Lapsang Burial Grounds (new title for Hanging Gardens) is about 50% done. The City Gates are about 70% done. So hopefully I'll get another level finished this coming week. | 2011-01-23 07:02:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
OMG can't wait this is going to be nice...so who's in the newer levels? | 2011-01-23 07:39:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
Wow, you're fast...Can't wait to play it. | 2011-01-23 07:42:00 Author: TheZimInvader Posts: 3149 |
I can't wait to get my LBP2 copy to play the remake you made! I don't know how much you improved it, but I loved it when I played it in the BETA. Your Deliver Me From Eve series reminds me a lot of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, with the Queen, the Hatter and the overall concept. Glad to hear you're working on three more levels! All the best! | 2011-01-23 08:33:00 Author: Oddmania Posts: 1305 |
Indeed, Alice in Wonderland is very inspiring, also Naked Lunch by Burroughs, Heart of Darkness by Conrad. Mix all that stuff together, put it through the LBPblender and what you get is Deliver me from Eve. Shadowcrazy created a very good version of the white rabbit, so that will turn up, along with a bunch of other misfits and crazies. | 2011-01-23 14:29:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
Thank you so much Pickled-Punk!!!!!!!! i've added it. i think i'll be making your levels a feature | 2011-01-23 18:33:00 Author: GribbleGrunger Posts: 3910 |
Cool, thanks. Do you have a link for me so I can check it out? | 2011-01-23 18:51:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
Cool, thanks. Do you have a link for me so I can check it out? yep http://e-mpire.com/threads/124073-LittleBigPlanet-2-%28released%29 i'm posting quite a lot of stuff off this forum and i have this site in my sig. | 2011-01-23 21:18:00 Author: GribbleGrunger Posts: 3910 |
Have I sent you a friend request yet?! Crap, I keep forgetting, not to mention I still have to send you my costumes.... I'm so sorry! Whenever I get around to playing, I always end up playing the Story Levels, or fooling around in create! I need to remember! Then again, I'm only 14, I shouldn't have this bad of a time at remembering stuff... | 2011-01-23 21:21:00 Author: Super_Clone Posts: 849 |
But there's always so much to forget | 2011-01-24 07:58:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
True! Since I can't sleep, I'll send you a friend request now, so I don't forget | 2011-01-24 08:20:00 Author: Super_Clone Posts: 849 |
Man, I loved your levels in the beta. I can't wait to get back on lbp2 and replay the Adventure's District! | 2011-01-24 21:17:00 Author: 4wheel Posts: 511 |
Thanks guys! | 2011-01-25 05:59:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
I've got a new level out, it's a introductory hub-level called Deliver me from Eve: Carcosa City Gate. http://lbp.me/v/w0w4vw | 2011-01-25 15:00:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
Queued, next time I'm on lbp2 I'll be sure to play it. | 2011-01-25 16:34:00 Author: 4wheel Posts: 511 |
Best place to start is Carcosa, then choose whichever quarter you like. Let me know what you think, 4 wheel. | 2011-01-26 07:45:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
I've added an extra secret area in each of the districts.... you need to be able to 'draw a door' to enter... | 2011-01-26 18:36:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
oooh la la I wonder who created these mystery doors and for what purpose do they exist? I'll be on the lookout now whenever I can although I won't be able too for a week since I'm leaving in about an hour for VEGAS for vacation...hope you won't miss your personal tailor...hopefully I've given you enough material to complete anything you need completing in the week | 2011-01-26 19:08:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
Good! I'll be adding secret areas in every level, and in a later stage some custom stickers that can be used to open extra features. Enjoy Vegas, mate!! | 2011-01-27 07:38:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
Good! I'll be adding secret areas in every level, and in a later stage some custom stickers that can be used to open extra features. Enjoy Vegas, mate!! I think that the secret areas should be MORE then just point bubbles tbh...maybe a secret area could have some untold LORE of your world and it's inhabitants...like a secret of the white queen maybe she was part of the adventurer's district and that's how she started her life and the secret area reveals her home or something know what i mean? some could have just point bubbles, some could be secret story bits, some could have some weird stuff...anyways in the end it'll be better then mere point bubbles know what i mean? | 2011-01-27 17:37:00 Author: Shadowcrazy Posts: 3365 |
Yep, Shadowcrazy, that's exactly my plan. The secret areas should be fun. I'll be back to expand upon the levels when I've got more of the main storyline published. | 2011-01-28 15:02:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
Added a great video by the mighty Cog. | 2011-02-01 10:10:00 Author: pickled-punk Posts: 598 |
Not F4F, just some feedback, liked the caves, but wanted it to look a bit more organic, but it still looked good, got squished behind the explosives cart (left side), the drink above may look better with some drink sticker or such added, and the should have a little more something to it, perhaps text or such, the word wanted to match the others? Not sure, great level though. | 2011-02-08 08:16:00 Author: celsus Posts: 822 |
Thanks for the feedback Celsus, I thought I had the case of squishie-heads behind the munitionsbox covered. Gues not. I'll go check it out.
