hey have you guys noticed in the gardens background there is a gnome in blue overalls and a red cap eating a red mushroom , now you can call me paranoid but how many other gnomes are dressed like that. My point is , am wondering if there are any other things like this we have overlooked, what do you think?

PAranoid. Not a reference, but simply something common, as that's the Gnome's regular clothing a lot of the times. Heck, I may go as far as saying Mario is based on a Gnome, actually.

No, Mario is based off of an Italian plumber that was addicted to mushrooms and loved his per turtle-saur. Nah. Joking. I think it's just the lawn gnome look...
