*Crime*

Archive: 26 posts

At some point in our life we will witness crime, whether we do it ourselves or not. Everyone I know has that tragic story of how they fell victim to violent crimes and/or witnessed them.

Well today I was at a Lil Chef, waiting in the car for my brother to get a Video Game from this local rental place. I was listening to some music when something caught my eye. I saw two men burst out of the Lil Chef door. They were obviously in some sort of struggle, but not knowing the true situation, I stayed in the car. That was until I realized the man in the black sweater was wrestling a gun out of the other mans hand. Suddenly the other man broke free and put the gun up to the mans head. When I saw this I immediately unbuckled and jumped out of the car. The man with the gun was locking eyes with the other guy, and when the man in the black sweater backed off, he ran off around the corner of the building. By the time I was out and to the sidewalk the man had taken off. The man in the black sweater called 911 (arrived in about 3 minutes) and I ran into the rental place to check on my family to make sure nothing else was going on. To my knowledge no one was harmed. The man with the gun wasn't young looking so I can't imagine his sense in doing whatever he was doing at Lil chef. (I'll update this when I hear what led up to the whole thing)

So that's the most recent crime I've witnessed. How about you? What have you seen others do? Did you ever do something that might put you on Santa's Naughty List this Christmas (maybe you don't want to share that)? Really it can be anything from fights to stealing a road sign, go ahead and share. Maybe you even were THE MAN and saved the day! Would love to hear everyone's stories...

(I've got a few more recent ones that I'll add to the thread over time)

Well Bush had a second term and now we have Obama...
oh, a PERSONAL crime story, okaaayy..

Local cop shot a 14 year old kid 2 days ago. It'll never hit the news but its all everyone is talking about. :/

Drunk drivers kill at least 2 people a week here.
Gangs threatened to shoot up the only store we have within driving distance.
Cops beat people for no reason.(Unless its a white cop being racist.)

Obviously we had a rapist on the loose, but we didnt hide our kids or our wives, and 3 women got raped. (the guy got caught)

That sounds a lot like an area not far from where I live (obviously many areas). It is just terrible up there, people really just don't care what they do. There was a rather sick bus driver who worked for a school near mine (not saying what the situation was because it's incredibly disturbing, but it involves children.) thankfully got his justice. Also not to long ago a girl stabbed another girl in the neck a few times with a pen and than proceeded to casually walk into class (NUTS).

When I went driving for my permit the guy didn't give a **** and texted the entire time.
The roads were completely barren because it was a Saints game and raining hard as hell, so I was doing 120(like an idiot) on the road and a cop pulled out of a coffe shop(DONUTS LOLOLOL!) and was right behind me. I freaked and stepped on the gas, so we were going around 160mph, with a cop behind me, pouring down rain with puddles everywhere, and then AC/DC comes on the radio.
My adrenline kicked in and i hard turned down a back road, the cop didn't follow, he wasn't after me.

The drivers ed guy goes "Had fun? Roads that way."

/embarressed

I was doing 160mph in a 45mph zone and the cop didn't even care :/

I always imagine an overweight cop with doughnuts all over the car, sitting next to the road waiting for people to speed, and whenever they do he just goes,"Woah, 100 mph? No way" than he sits back in his chair and takes a big ol' bite out of his doughnut. Yeah...thats probably how it goes...

But I've really only broke the speed limit like twice (maybe a little more), and that was when I had a driving instructor. He didn't care, called me speed demon.

We were at an amusement park that had a Pioneer Village in it. It has a chapel that was one of the first built in the area, and all that stuff. Anyway, there was this sign that said 'Please Do Not Climb Onto Pulpit'. Thinking were all hot stuff, someone stepped forward and said they would do it. The only security system we noticed was a little motion sensor in the corner of the room. We only expected it to set of a little 'beep' only audible from inside the church.

I had a cooler full of all our food, and I wanted to get a head start in case anything happened. I went to the back of the church and gave him a green light. As soon as he set foot on the other side of the rope, an alarm loud enough to hear from around the park blasted through the speakers. We made a break for it, camping out in the nearest bathroom.

Fearing we would lose our season passports, the guys switched shirts, and the girls changed their hair. As soon as we thought the coast was clear, we made a mad dash for the exit. We made it out, but we were all still shaking.

That's about as close as I've gotten.

My fiends and I snuck out of the house at around 2am and crossed the river bridge to the rich part of town. Then when we got to the bike path, we disassembled the wood post fencing and built a log cabin in the middle of the path....TAKE THAT RICHIES!!!2010-12-20 22:56:00

lol!

I can't say a lot of the stuff i did, cuz..well..its illegal, but..
One thing that may or may not have happened by an unnamed group of "hooligans"(lol), is they went to the rich part of the bayou and drive-by paintballed the rich peoples cars and fences.
(the houses were too far in from the road) /cough/

of course i had nothing to do with that.

There are other instances involving spray paint and stickers, but i don't even know what sticker slaps are! ;p

Take that Richies!!!

The first time when I was about 15, so around 4 years ago now. And the second time about 6 moths later.

I'm just gonna drop by and be party pooper here: to those of you ever-so-slightly attempting to glamorise crime and / or competing in the uber-macho "who's the baddest on the LBP fansite" contest (everyone is really impressed already, don't you worry), let's reign it in a little bit, yeah?2010-12-21 01:01:00

I don't know...I guess it's not putting my instinct in good light when it says, "If there is a gun, run at it." Usually bullets are faster than you, but also this guy didn't look like he was ready to kill someone, I didn't feel that threatened by the situation...just...uneasy for the well being of the guy within the quarrel.

Well, I will tell about something else that happened recently (Not that big of a deal. Very common, but still it seemed blown out of proportion). Last week, when our bus arrived at our school, we had to wait 15 minutes to get off. Apparently all the buses get held up when one is put on lockdown. Well, the bus driver found a joint on the bus (shocking! considering that there are at least 6 kids who get on the bus everyday completely baked.). I still don't know the full story on this other than, the bus driver called the cops and two kids were punished in someway (IDK). I just wouldn't expect, "Oh my god! A joint! LOCK IT DOWN! LOCK IT DOWN! call 911, call somebody!" I would of expected a suspension and some parental punishment, but how would I know, I don't do drugs...

Hear that kids?

Pfft. Weed is so weak I wouldn't even consider it a drug.

It just sounds to me that those kids know how to party.

I have no problem if people smoke weed every once in awhile, I just hate pot heads. People are free to do whatever they like, but once the whole bus reeks of weed (and there are people that don't like that), you can intervene. Which reminds me, a bus would be an awesome club on wheels without the seats and a lot of neon lights (NOT BLACKLIGHTS FOR GOD'S SAKE!). Anyway, I guess I should of expected this when I saw how "strict" our school is (or tries to be). There is this lady that just screams her head off if you don't get to the sidewalk with in the matter of 3.5 seconds of getting off the bus. Her job is obviously important, wouldn't want all those kids running out into the road not seeing A LINE OF 14 BUSES! (We do need someone to direct the buses though so that they can get out, but than again, we have 2 exits...)

I don't commit crimes, I'm a good boy.2010-12-21 02:56:00

In my online persona, I've committed many crimes (from murder to robberies to treason), hence the moniker "Outlaw".

In real life, I don't even think about doing it; my dad's known to be one of the craziest cops in San Diego, so if I did anything he'd smack me upside the head with his baton.

But, living in perhaps the biggest border city in the country (and being just north of the border), there's always crimes happening each and every week, and, after a while, you get use to it. But there's one crime that happened last month? or so that still impacts my family a little (and most of San Diego for that matter): the murder of a fellow cop and a close friend to my dad, Officer Christopher Wilson.

Skyline neighborhood, south-east San Diego, aka "San Diego's South-Central". A group of U.S. Marshals were performing a probation check in the Canyon View Apartments, with SDPD accompanying them, due to the suspicions of another person that was suspected to be in the apartment as well. He was wanted for assault with a deadly weapon. As the Marshals came up to the door, someone opened it initially, then slammed it closed in the officers' faces. This authorized the men to kick down the door and arrest the offender. As soon as they secured the man, another started to fire at the officers from a bedroom down the hall. The man and the officers exchanged fire, with Officer Wilson recieving a shot to the head. After moving Wilson out of the complex, the officers returned fire, hitting the rooms with flashbangs and smoke grenades. A total of 5 suspects were found: 2 dead, 3 in custody. Officer Wilson was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital...

Christopher Wilson, age 50, serving on the force for neary 17 years, died at 3 a.m. in Scripps Mercy Hospital. A large memorial was held at The Rock Church, with his family and Governor Schwartzeneggar as speakers. Candle-lit vigils and memorials were held throughout the county in memory and in remembrance of Christopher Wilson.

My dad was one of the officers who buried his body.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not all crimes have a happy ending.

When I was at college, me and my friends decided to have a cider drinking contest.
I won with 3 litres downed in 1 minute 15 seconds.... the rest of the night was a complete blackout.

When I woke up I was in a police cell, covered in little bruises and a monster hang-over.
Then I was dragged in for questioning.
"We'd like your version of events" they asked, so I explained - I was in my friends flat drinking cider, and then, I don't know?!
It turns out that while in this inebriated state, my friend had pulled out "the Fun Gun" (a small hand cranked pelet gun he'd bought out of a toy shop) - and after shooting each other with it for a while, for some reason started pointing it out of the window, this was caught on CCTV and an armed police response unit was sent out to the flat. Apparently when they knocked on the door shouting "Open Up, It's the Police" (we used to always say this when knocking on each others doors) - we thought it was one of our mates and so told them to F off - they then kicked the door in and hand-cuffed the lot of us (this is how my mate recounted it to me);

I was arrested and charged with Section 14 - Reckless Discharge of a Firearm - and sentanced to 240 hours community service.

Luckily I got to do the community service at my local community farm, and had a great time feeding all the animals - grooming horses - I even birthed a set of twin lambs. I may not remember doing the crime but doing the time was an absolute joy.

Remember kids, drinking lots of cider gets you 240 hours of FUN! So drink up.

As for a crime I have committed, I once downloaded a file illegally. I gave it back though, the guilt was killing me.

I've been the victim of more robberies than I care for. It is a horrible violation to have your stuff stolen.

And before there are any comments about locking stuff up. Everything was locked

Incident1: Mountain bike stolen outside shopping mall
Incident2: Stereo/Subwoofer stolen from car
Incident3: House broken into Dvd's stolen
Incident4: Replacement stereo stolen from car, also medieval suit of armour and a 14" double edged knife
Incident5: Laptop stolen from car
Incident6: Assaulted in my driveway by road rage woman
Incident7: House broken into again PS3 stolen
Incident8: 2nd Laptop stolen from car

That is what I can think of off the top of my head I'm sure I'm missing one though

I have now moved into a much nicer suburb, I haven't had any burglaries within the past 2 years. But there was a homicide the other side of the highway the other week, and a double homicide in my street 2 days ago... eep!

I don't really remember this, but when I was about 6 or 7 months old, my parents and I were going into the KFC drive thru. When we were about to get in line (after waiting for an hour in traffic), this idiot lady cut in front of us and bumped our car and didn't seem to care very much. My mom got out of the car and talked to the girl from the drive thru what happened. The chick that cut in front of us got out of the car and started making a racket, and called her husband so was a general here at the time. When he got there my dad and him got in a fight, and after a while the dude pointed a gun at teeny tiny me. I don't really know what happened in the end, but obviously I wasn't killed.
So uh, yeah...I have another story but I don't really like talking about it because I do remember perfectly
