casino road v2.0littlebigveteran
A classic platforming level with a casino theme, its bouncy and grabby The level has alot of detail and is a vast improvment on the original thanks to all of the feedback on here. I have also included a ''storyline'' which revolves around the casino managers poket money being stolen..........

Hey, I just played your level, and I was impressed! I love the vibe the level gives off. Instead of straight-up trying to recreate a casino with tacked-on gameplay, it's like you captured the essence of Las Vegas and used that as a theme to consult while constructing a platformer. Everything is flashy and gaudy, and it creates this wonderful party atmosphere that really makes the level feel fun to play. I love the style too, it feels like Media Molecule's own creative, homemade style to making the story levels. The ubiquitous prize bubbles really cemented that "Mm" feeling, as did the story, which was elaborated enough to give you a sense of purpose to what you were doing, but unintrusive on the gameplay.

If I were to say some negatives, I'd probably first have to mention that too many scenery objects felt copied-and-pasted. The 3-die especially suffered from this; if you were to remove the middle sticker of some of them, add two stickers to others, and replace the center dot with a red circle sticker on some others, you'd have a variety of 2-, 3-, 5- and 1-dice. If you were to invert some or reflect others across the y-axis, you'd have even more variety in the dice, which would make parts like the dice labyrinths feel like much more time and care were put into them. There were some areas where the palm trees were reproduced multiple times in a row as well; if you would flip every other one with R3, it'd be much harder to notice. It's not a big deal, but I think it would go a long way in making the level reflect the time and effort you've obviously put into it.

I gave the level :star::star::star::star::star:! One last thing, I love the bride-kissing part. Very funny!

wow thanks ive never ever managed to pull a level off this well before. I know it still needs some work but those ideas are brilliant ! i am planning on adjusting the level inside lbp2 since that is where it will be most played in the next few weeks. Im will change all of the things you have sugested then The biggest problem i am having at the moment is the level overheating and the framerate dropping i could really use some help on how i can get around this ....... originally the level was half of the size but felt tooo short, so i extended it in this version. Im afraid that if i shorten it to save space then i would have gone back a step?2011-01-08 15:37:00

here's my step by step review!
+i already love the atmosphere right when i started!
+for some reason i thought the cards in the background falling was really cool
-i don't understand the electric dice monsters. not a bad thing, it just doesn't make much sense, lol.
-it'd be nice if there were more numbers on the dice other than 3
+i loved the part with the dice chained together that you have to swing across. very original.
-you missed a comma in one of the magic mouths. it should read "you'll never make it through, sack."
+i liked the R1 jet pack thing with the dice, and the springy glass part right after it!
+i liked the maze with the dice, but it would've been more fun as a race!
-the evil guy stays a couple seconds too long when he shows up in the rotating fan area. if you go left you can see that he has no legs
+oh there's another dice number! makes me wonder why there's only one 5 if you have the object in the level already?
+neon martini sign! not sure why that's a plus but it is

i gave it 5 stars because it looks very good and had fun platforming!

for F4F please play: ginormo burger
