What kind of tentacles? Non moving ones just involve a lot of corner editing, for example in Salerie's (did I spell it right?  ) Cell 13. Moving ones I think would be very hard to make without flexible materials. I would say split the tentacle shape into sections, then join then all with string to create the effect.
