Switch options

Maybe im missing somthing here. I jsut started rebuilding one of my mechs in LBP2B but when I started to do some basic test on the pistons I quickly found that none of the normal switches had their old control types! They are all either on/off. I dont see anything to change them to "direction" or "speed" or "1 shot". I am missing somthing here or do I have to attach logic to what was a simple switch function. | 2010-12-17 08:30:00 Author: OutcastZeroOne Posts: 139 |
The control of signal type is on the control-able part. In this case it is on piston | 2010-12-17 09:42:00 Author: waD_Delma Posts: 282 |
Yeah, you control signal types at output, not input as delma said. | 2010-12-17 10:20:00 Author: Asbestos101 Posts: 1114 |
@Asbestos101, in input, and reaction type is set in tweak called "Input Action" I LBP2 all signal types are sent from output at once and input gadget decides how to utilize it. They change that because they added new specialized functions for signal for specific gadgets and if they add them all to output tweak like in LBP1 it would be one big mess. | 2010-12-17 12:00:00 Author: Shadowriver Posts: 3991 |

But also because you can now control many different actions/tools - in different ways - all from the same output. For instance, I could rig a directional piston, a one-shot sound, and an on-off light all from one switch/event. Very powerful. | 2010-12-17 13:48:00 Author: v0rtex Posts: 1878 |
Well thats a benefit of that too There one exception, tag sensor got analog output tweak, tag distance or signal straight of tag, since there only one analog signal channel in wire. | 2010-12-17 15:01:00 Author: Shadowriver Posts: 3991 |
I didn't know that, it's very cool | 2010-12-17 15:35:00 Author: Radishlord Posts: 706 |
OK, so I just hooked up a piston to the canopy of my mech to make it open and close. Hooked up a push switch and hooked it up to the piston. unpaused, piston moves to its full length and stops. Hit the switch and nothing happens. stand there to see if there is some kind of lag and still nothing. never mind, forgot that pistons default to stiff now. so annoying the way they changed stuff | 2010-12-18 05:18:00 Author: OutcastZeroOne Posts: 139 |
