When asking for an artwork, please specify which of the art types you want. You get SKETCHES quicker because they are generally easier to draw. From now on, everyone please use the template mentioned when requesting. Those who had requested before I updated the main page do not have to fill out a template. | Wow. To be honest, I'm pretty impressed (despite all of the cool arts I've seen on dA and around here). The style reminds me of that "Infamous" gritty/graphic comic sketching you see in the cutscenes, but with a more indie/freelance vibe with it. I like how you've given each of the requests (so far) a distinct and suitable vibe, and how each character is interpreted in your style. I especially like Jaslow's request; it gives off the vibe of a Transylvanian prince/ Russian czar kind of mood, and the added sackperson was a nice touch, too (though I may say, her head is a bit odd, since the bite marks seem to take place on her lower jaw instead of the neck; just a little critique is all). This is making me REALLY want to sketch up a sackboy and start my own art thread as well... or maybe write a story about these requests. | Thank you very much, Outlaw_Jack. That's one of the best things I've been told on here. Spoken like someone who is very knowledgeable of the subject. Yeah, he bit her chin, apparently. Sackpeople seem to have little to no neck, so it was hard to place it. I could of made the neck bigger, but I was a tad hesitant, because I didn't want to overdo the proportions. Sackpeople are awfully compact and stiff, and it can be hard to convey a message through their actions when they are all stubby.I tend to give them a bit more of a human quality, but I think its worth a slight proportion difference for the effect the pictures give.Thanks (again) for the feedback everyone, I really appreciate it. I'll be starting the next request on the list tomorrow!( and thank the heavens for Firefox spell check. It might of been a sketch but it was difficult (: The position was hard to do, and later on I had to figure out how to give it a 'night' look without having a dark background in it. | It would of been, but I changed how I accept requests. Its explained now on the main page. Basically, people can now ask for either a sketch or a full blown drawing. Sketches are easier for me to make, so to compensate for the lesser detail they are always put at the top of the queue. The list of requests on the main page is accurate. | I use my WACOM Bamboo tablet. I used to draw a picture, scan it, and then outline and color it on photoshop. That's a pain to do for each picture though, so I made myself learn how to use the tablet properly. Now I draw everything with the tablet on Photoshop. | Thanks guys Yeah, I wanted the wings to stand out more, so I made a unique effect for them. I actually just used the preset leaf brush within photoshop to make it. I used the leaf brush, then used a leaf brush eraser over it to make it more sparse. Then I changed the opacity. If you pay close attention you can see small maple leaves lol. Yeah, he does look a bit like a boss. He also resembles Raven from Teen Titans. He even has glowing eyes ( : And he has black wings like a raven. | Yeah, my tablet's wire is completely frayed (it's a cheap brand, so whaddya expect), which is the reason it's been acting pretty jumpy and annoying lately.
