How to make a lift that when you grab it, it goes up (or down) and stops when its all the way up, but when you release it, it goes back down.

Simple - get a grabbable object, connect it to the ceiling with a piston or a winch, attach a grab switch to the grabbable object, set it to directional, and wire it up to the piston/winch. To make it go down when grabbed instead of up, set the the piston/winch to backwards.2010-12-16 18:54:00

Set an AND logic piece to activate when the grab switch is on and is not at the top.2010-12-16 19:14:00

Simple, just attach a grab switch onto a grabbable object. Then attach a winch or piston to both the object and the ceiling.Lastly, set the grab switch to directional.

If you want it a little more complcated, you can use a set-reset. It can be easly obtaned by looking up "logic pack" in the in game search function. What you could do is when a player grabs it, it goes up. When the player falls or dies, the switch resets itself and comes back down. It is very helpful. Its just if you use this methed, you need to add a prox (player senser) switch to sence the player on the bottom. The reson i said a prox switch is that the player does not know. It seems nicer... but thats just me.

if you just want simple, the directinal like everyone elce.

If you need any more help, or have another question, you can give me a PM.
