Another hazard: Bale Fire

The great author: Robert Jordan, in his wheel of time series (I'm talking about a book not a level series) describes a terrible power: Balefire, this could be incorporated as a hazard in lbp2, it would not have to have the affects of balefire (In the books it says; That balefire makes you die, in the past, as to say if you were hit by balefire at 12:45 you are actually dead earlier, as to say everything the one who died a few minutes to even a few weeks before he was hit by balefire is undone, bcause balefire actually burnt him/her out of the past, anyway what i'm trying to say is that when ur hit by balefire in LBP, you do not have to be dead back in the past (meaning it could cancel you activating the last checkpoint) all that happens is that u die in the same way, bale fie is like a laser, but is described as liquid fire and is exceptiaonaly bright, it is also described as a bar of light. This would be such a cool way to die in LBP! Becos when ur hit by bale fire u Ur body is encompassed by the light and for a split second you can see the person ripped to shred by the immense heat.

But seriously this is totally possible - we have even seen this kinda thing in LBP1 so its not gonna be a problem in LBP2

I think Skalio was trying to say that there are levels with "time reversal" elements that were released in LBP1. Things like dream sequence level, where you get near the end, and are then ported to what appears to be the beginning as if nothing happened. LBP2 would allow you to do this even easier with sequencers, emitter/demitters and such.

The visual effects could easily be accomplished in LBP2 and with some careful fancy logic you could have the balefire attack at any time and be able to port players back to that point and reset the level from that point forward.

Thanks Rohar mebbe i wasnt clear enough, but aswell as time travel effects i was saying that weve seen lasers and beams of fire/electricity and such in LBP1 levels so now with holo material and the new lights (lasers, spotlights and stuff) we can easily make "bale-fire" or something similar2010-12-16 18:55:00

Hahah, good, but i meant how sackboy dies, when your ripped to shreds by balefire theres no explosion or anything everything basicaly just melt instantly but for a split second u see it slowly so ud see sackboy skin ripped and melted off him and he would be screwed lol and another thing i didn't mention was that the more powerful the balefiere the further your burnt out of time, but in lbp it could be how many checkpoints you go back2010-12-16 19:23:00
