so now we have both sites "beta.lbp.me" and "lbp.me" with a little over lap. well lbp.me is such a better system for finding lvls, no more random struggles to sort through cool pages spam to find a lvl. I am glad the whole community gets to adjust to it before 2 launches and use it for 1.2010-12-15 15:27:00

They need to hold 2 sites since they currently running 2 game servers

So guys... next spotlight gonna be with lbp.me links, if i'm not mistaken?

Lbp.me friends activity not displaying: RT @mmalex: @Fishrock123 sorry! Should be fixed by the time lbp2 is out, I think. Maybe sooner.

So.. Yeah, if you encounter this, no worries.

Im just going to copypaste my comment from the Beta forums. Have a read.

"Re: LBP.me is Live!!Optionson 15-12-201004:56 PM_:Cool. LBP1 levels are now shown. And there's a Recent Activity section which shows who has been playing levels and how they rated them. The weird thing is that not everyone's rating is shown. In LBP1, giving levels that you've played a star rating is mandatory so the fact that LBP.me only shows how some people rated a level is odd. And it doesn't show what tags people used either. Another thing is that now people who've uploaded pics in LBP1 without their name can now be revealed on LBP.me so if you've ever uploaded pics of the word "fail" or pics of genitals, people will know it was you. Thats all i've found so far.""

I hope that is the cause and not that the lbp.me is not absolute in giving all the information. This worries me because, for example, you can't even see all the comments, but just the ones going couple of pages back. :/

To be honest, I am a bit disappointed with the design. The information could have been presented in a much more simpler and less cluttered way. What's more, I expected more statistics and definitely other stuff to do on the pages. But I guess that will evolve in the future. I truly hope so, at least. :/

So guys... next spotlight gonna be with lbp.me links, if i'm not mistaken?

That is to be expected, since lbp.me is out. But what would truly be spectacular is backward compatibility with previous spotlighted levels relinked to lbp.me. Now that would show true dedication to the cause.

According to LBPPodcast 95 it's one of planned feature, but what i really hope for is is full public API allowing to extract LBP.me data and implement it to applications and websites. Something like most of social sites, thanks to that for example LBPC profile would be integrated with LBP profile, showing you stats and levels.

I agree. Maybe we could start with an option to add links to your LBP profile below your avatar? That could be helpful.

Sure, sure, its not like the spotlight crew is extremely busy with it as it is, yeah, that is tottaly not dedication at all, huh?
Yeah, they NEED to do that to seem dedicated, right?

I guess giving up most of your free time to a project you're not even paid for is not true dedication to it, no no, not at all...

Altho, you yourself could try it, see how easy it would be, after all, its your idea, why not see if you can implement it yourself?
The previous spotlights are there, there's nothing stopping you from doing it yerself.

It's cool now we dont need to come on the game anymore just to see how our level is doing
Also.. am i the only one who noticed this: http://lbp.me/u/Molecule_Studio2/levels?? MM are putting the MM picks of the beta in the full game it seems.. so does that mean beta levels are compatible??

Well Nuclearfish submitted idea of a playlist idea (that i also had in mind ) at GetSatisfaction and its marked as "Under Costraction", if they go live spotlight could be listed there and you would not need to visit LBPC to check them out 2010-12-15 20:46:00

It doesnt have to tell you. You can choose what it displays. You pick yes or no to a few choices.

Show activity from my hearted players
Show activity from my PSN Friends
Show activity on my published levels
Show my activity

It would have been nice if you could leave comments on other peoples profile pages, or send them private messages or something, more options to link the community and give them outlets to communicate with each other on LBP.me

Sorry - nothing from the BETA is going to work at all. All the levels that have been transferred over will be deleted - they are just so that games reviewers can have a look at awesome stuff the community can do. =)

Backups won't work either. Tom mentioned it in the BETA forums and explained why...

, it is also nice to have all your data in a web.

Hmm, I am under impression that only a percentage of last entries is displayed on the webpage (50 last comments or so, 50 last person who played the level, etc.) Or am I not using some kind of grand option which displays all the information? :/

Queuing levels is cool and practical, but I wish the page had more additional stuff, such as better and more comprehensive player and level statistic, more complex search variables, level promoting possibilities, option to edit the level page with new information which then transfers to the game, etc. I mean having lbp.me opens so many possibilities, and yet they are left unchecked, I hope this will be improved in the future.

To be honest, I don't know when was the last update. But here is the situation, I can see some comments that date a year or so back, while some levels which are more active, display only the activity for a number of days. I mean experiment and you will see that something is being cut out, and the update date doesn't seem to be the factor.

Well with activity (who played the level how he rate and so on) factor is update for 100%, since LBP1 didn't have activity monitoring systems since beginning and didn't record activity before that server update, only modify stats of the levels. So they simply don't have older activity data since they didnt have anything that record it before update.

With comments i don't know, To tell the truth i didn't watch comments of the levels much in times of LBP1, maybe they had limit of number of comments (that might be now removed)and delete old once when new comment been entered.

Has anyone else noticed that when looking at a level's recent activity, it only shows how some people rated the level? Whats up with that?
And it doesn't show how people tagged the level either. Early days though so hopefully those things will be fixed.

It seems to only show people that rated it 4 or 5 stars, it doesn't show if they rated it 3 or less.

According to Tom_Molecule here (http://getsatisfaction.com/littlebigplanet/topics/are_the_various_filters_of_lbp_me_gone_4_good), LBP.me does not support the old LBP1 tags, but it will support the LBP2 "labels". So, when people start playing LBP1 levels in LBP2 it sounds like these labels will start to get applied to the older levels and you will be able to filter based on them.

BTW: When searching on LBP.me you can use the advanced search to change the sorting order!!! It took me a while to find that, but is extremely useful in finding good levels to add to your queue.

The great thing about lbp.me is you can find out what people get up to.

And as it turns out, Spaff (http://lbp.me/u/Spaff_Molecule) truly is a spammer.

Edit: Wow, lol, I just noticed something. 170,170 hearts on Dead Space. O_o

Wait, I thought the Spaff thing was another one of your edits. Then I checked it o_O

Unless that's the infamous Spaff_MolecuIe (capital 'i&apos.

EDIT: Also realised, it now lets us find out how many of these annoying photo spams there are. Seriously, around half of the pictures on Vile Anchorage are close-ups of abbsoluuthanna ?.?

Seeing just how many people have given my level 5 stars and hearts makes me feel warm inside.

Is MM going to let the uploader of the lvl add in screen shots and in-game video to lbp.me as well?2010-12-19 19:45:00

Well with screenshots, yes and no, in the game when you browse photos of the level there two categories, "by Author" and "by Others" and when you make photos for your level and upload them it will show in "by Author" categoy. But in LBP.me there not devided in this categories and photos made by users take over it.

Sorry for bumping an old thread, but as it's the only lbp.me related thread....

Check the MMpicks page : http://lbp.me/search?t=mm_picks

How come some LBP1 levels have the Yeah/No ratings additionnaly to the stars rating?
Is it from some people that have a copy of LBP2 (Mm staff or reviewers for example) and that played those levels?

http://images.gamekult.com/blog/imgdb/000/000/542/912_3.png

Sorry is this has already been discussed...

EDIT :
Oh and another question :

How come there's not the "Show activity from my PSN friends" in the settings?
It was available in the BETA version...

And yea LBP1 and LBP2 rateing are seperate depending on what game you play, about integration over here:
