Colored gas

How do you change the color of gas? Story levels have black or red gas, but mine stays green whatever I try. Thanks!2008-11-04 20:06:00

Tweak it. There's a tweak menu available for it.2008-11-04 20:07:00

i KNOW i've tried tweaking mine but the color will NOT change. have other people been successful in changing the color or did they just see the ability to do so in tweaking but not actually try it? this seems like a bug which i hope gets fixed in a patch.2008-11-04 20:25:00

tweaking the color of gas is like a hidden option. lol. usually you see the "[] tweak" but with the gas i don't see it. however, when i press square it pops up.2008-11-04 20:31:00

it's odd. for me sometimes the tweak menu would pop up and other times not. but at no time when i changed the color in the tweak menu did the actual color of the gas change.

has anyone actually been able to change the color of the gas?

I have. I think it's a little bug that needs to be fixed though. Because sometimes it doesn't pop up for me either.

I can't even do it, ever. This really sucks too because my level looks horrid with this gas color.2008-11-05 03:55:00

What you have to do is select the gas tool. Then you press square to select color. Once the color is selected you click whatever you want to be gas. if it's already made of gas the color will change to the one you picked. The object itself will not get a tweak menu, the tool has the tweak menu, so pressing square using the lasso tool won't do anything.2008-11-05 03:57:00

Just to add on to this already amazing explanation, so people don't get it mixed up like me ( though I am on the dumb side )

You basically, click on the gas tool, don't press square while on the gas tool option, click it, and before you click what you want to change to gas, press square.

Thanks for the explanation Ozymandias

Okay, I got it all figured out. There's no bugs, just a weird behavior. First, the tweak menu is only available when you select gas, and not the pop-it cursor, like everything else. Second, changing the color will change the color of UPCOMING gas. It's not like the regular tweak menu where you tweak the current object. You tweak the gas option itself so that the next time you use it, the gas will be of a different color.2008-11-05 14:09:00
