My gosh, I think I like this one the best out of all your pieces of art so far. It's very abstract and I love the way all the colors come together and everything. Great job with this! Can't wait to see more.2010-12-14 22:04:00

I love it!!

It's packed with loads of visual treats and I find my eyes roving from place to place saying "ooh - there's another bit".

In fact.. bizarrely... that's my only problem too. There is no dominant focal point, which your normal work is so good at doing. You could argue that the owl/eagle is the biggest and therefore the thing you look at first, but the colours are muted and thereofre, you find your eye drawn down to the firey reds and oranges bottom left.

For me, the eye (window to the soul) could be great focal point, but I might re-position it more centrally... or perhaps with something around it rather than just underneath it.

Oooh - just seen another bit!

Also like the grey background - nice way to use highlights and lowlights - reminds me of chalk/charcoal work.

Cool - seen it right away.

I had a thought about this that might give it some focus without having to alter the artwork.

Apply a layer with a radial gradient - white centre in the middle - light grey to outside and multiply over what you've got. That way, it should fade out the outside a bit and keep the centre fresh and sparkly!

Don't know if it'll work though as it might spoil the piece.... :S

I love it when good original work turns up!!

Thanks again

I tried the gradient bg thing at the start but it didn't work with the piece as the smooth gradient kinda clashed with the jagged shapes.

I added a texture but I'm not too sure if it killed it XD

Thoughts?

Now that's good!

Nicely balanced I'd say - definately haven't killed it.

I'd say you're pretty much done!
