Can't get points from creature brain!
Archive: 4 posts
(LBP1) Basically, i'm trying to make a point emitter. When the sack presses a switch i need the player to receive points, without actually touching any point bubbles. I can do this by emitting paint into creature brains. But i'm sure there has to be a simpler way. I know you must be able to do this because the creature brain is an object, over the points bubble! Please help me out with this one guys, or i'll be using up loads of thermo fo no reason Add : TheCabbageKing on psn and help me out! thanks, and happy sacking! | 2010-12-14 18:02:00 Author: TheCabbageKing Posts: 2 |
From what I've heard, emitted paintballs usually fail to destroy creature brains. The best way to do this is to attach an inverted, one-shot grab switch to the brain and wire it up to the black "ring" on the brain. Then you can just have an emitter set to emit that object, and it'll instantly kill itself and give out points each time. Every time you want the player to receive points, just activate the emitter with a one-shot switch. | 2010-12-14 20:28:00 Author: Blue Helmet Posts: 306 |
one way to do this is: 1: be sure the game is paused (up arrow on the d pad) 1: place a creature brain 2: place a magnetic key switch on the creature brain 3: set the magnetic key switch to inverted 4: set the magnetic key switch to 1 shot 5: connect the magnetic key switch to the creature brain 6: capture the creature brain with the magnetic key switch 7: place a piece of dark matter (or any other material) 8: put an emitter on the dark matter 9: make the emitter emit the creature brain you just captured 10: connect the switch the player presses to the emitter that should do it! if you want to change how fast the player gets points: change the frequency of the emitter if you want to save thermo: set the lifetime to 1 second and the max emitted at once to 1 if you want to make it so the player has to continuously press the switch then set the switch to 1 shot if you can't do that, don't worry! Incinerator22 made a nice logic workshop (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=31753-Logic-Workshop&p=552773&viewfull=1#post552773) that has this. | 2010-12-14 20:30:00 Author: slidedrum Posts: 189 |
