Advanced LBP UFO Aircraft

Advanced LBP UFO AircraftShuriken_Star Not a very good level in itself, but this is my most advanced true-flying LBP aircraft I've made so far It has excellent manuverablity and can still fly when flipped over, although its "gyroscope" isn't perfect (All gyroscopes I have tried to use have failed so if you know how to make perfect gyro, please let me know) The level includes some prizes containing my previous versions of my flying vehicles, as well as a secret prize containing my latest one. It might take a while, but please complete the level if you play it. | 2010-12-14 04:38:00 Author: Shuriken_Star Posts: 114 |
Hello there, As this is more of a concept than a level so i will give feedback with that in mind: Pros: +somewhat simple to use controls +nice hovering +nice attempt at the gyroscope Negs: -wish the rockets would have had a little less boost -while boosting to the left or right the gyroscope failed to keep craft level -the styling of UFO seemed unfinished...maybe prototype? In summary I liked your work and it was a cool concept to play around with. As for feedback, I too have few concepts that could use feedback...your choice: 1)Rocket Sled Test Site 2)Gravitron 3)Simon Says | 2010-12-14 19:56:00 Author: sascha_winter Posts: 163 |
It doesn't really use a gyroscope (more like a directional sensor) and all gyroscopes i've used fail over a longer period of time (as well as during movement), its system just determines which side is up, so the point of the sensor is to just reverse the thrusters to fly back up & not to keep it stable, and yes it is very plain because it is a concept and a new, more detailed, prototype is in development. If you actually got the prize bubbles in the bonus room (next to the first drop) you'd see how far i've gone with this concept (which uses no logic, except my latest for its directional sensor). | 2010-12-16 00:27:00 Author: Shuriken_Star Posts: 114 |
thanx for the response, but can you post your feedback to my level under my levels post and not your own.... | 2010-12-16 00:51:00 Author: sascha_winter Posts: 163 |
As an extra note, in a wide-open space, my UFO doesn't really need a gyroscope (since you can rotate it at any time) and its thrust strength give it excellent manuverablity. | 2010-12-16 01:00:00 Author: Shuriken_Star Posts: 114 |
As of LBP 2, my newer creations (& variants of UFO) will be FAR more advanced and detailed, so this level is no longer up but another more improved one will take its place in due time. | 2011-01-22 06:51:00 Author: Shuriken_Star Posts: 114 |
