Was everything from LBP1 supposed to transfer?

| When I started LBP2 it said for me to import my LBP1 profile. I did and it seems like I'm missing a LOT of costume things. was all that stuff supposed to transfer over? or ONLY DLC? | If you got the code from a competition things like lbp.me and the beta forums might not work. As for the data, sounds like it might be taking a backup from before the changes Mm made to the profile system. Originally, LBP2 imported my OLD LBP1 profile from before they reorganized the way they were stored back in 2009. All I did was, as UltimateClay said, was go back into LBP1 and backup my profile.
