What is wrong with some People?

Archive: 44 posts

I had a cat. His Name was Jerry.
I got him when he was still tiny and i took care of him, raised him and i really loved him.

Everyday when i came home from work he waited for me.
He suddenly jumped out of some bush or he was sitting in front of the door.

But not yesterday. I came home as usual and he wasn't there.
So i looked for him and after a while i found him in the grass.
He wasn't moving but still alive, so i brought him to a Vet.
She x-rayed Jerry and told me someone must've hit him with a pipe or something like that.
His spine was broken and so i watched the vet putting my friend to sleep.

I don't get it...who would work off his anger on an animal?
That's just not right...

I'm so sorry for your loss. People are monsters sometimes and it's a shame they did that to a defenseless pet. Hang in there, I know the heartache that comes with loosing a friend like that too. It gets better, just takes time.2010-12-12 04:41:00

If it makes you feel any better, my dad ran over my last dog twice and she was fine!... really, that's what happened.

I know, bad joke.

That's awful. Why exactly would someone bash someone elses cat for no reason?

Makes me wanna bash him back with my own assortment of pipe ...

At least he's in a better place and isn't suffering. Who knows? Maybe he's waiting for you on the other side...

10 years ago, I was traveling back from my Grandmas birthday party when the car in front of me slowed down as the passenger threw a bag of something out of the window. This was very suspicious to me, so I got out and went to go and see what was in the bag. It was a kitten.

I took the kitten home and contacted the police, I got the guys license number and they tracked him down. He had a house full of cats. He was fined and the cats were taken away from him.

I kept the kitten who is currently upstairs asleep 10 years later.

Sorry to hear about your cat, people who abuse animals are cowards.

What a tragic story and I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you can find some comfort during this time from the love of your friends, family, and the memories of Jerry. He obviously loved you very much as you did him.

All the best...

I am sorry that you lost your cat, but is there any other way it could of broke it's spine? I mean, it's hard to imagine someone would just walk by a cat and say, "You know what...I have a pipe, and there is a cat. Hmmm..." If it did happen that way than-PSYCHO!-but I think someone probably accidently dropped something on your cat or something like that-actually happens a lot.

I don't like losing pets. My first pet died rather slowly of old age, limping and passing out. After he got real sick one morning, my mom rushed him to the vets. I can't describe the feeling when my mom returned home without him...

Its not that they are angry, its that that is the way some people get a kick and get fun.

Your giving them too much credit to suggest they were angry. They know what they are doing and are pathetic low lives, which find pleasure from hurting and abusing people or animals. I hope they come across someone who wont take any **** and will give them what they deserve.

Sorry for your loss

Oh the misery. If it was intended (which it probably was because such things does not happen by accident, unfortunately) I hope the evildoer becomes a worm in his next live only to get eaten up by birds. And then repeat that cycle a few 1000 times.2010-12-12 14:44:00

*Looks up into Alighieri's Divine Comedy*

He is probably to be placed in the outer ring of the 7th circle of hell. Here he will "be immersed in a boiling river of blood", the more since, the deeper down he goes. If he should try to escape there are some swift centaurs to shoot fiery arrows at the escapee...

And no, I have not played Dante's Inferno XD

People are just too cruel, a guy hit my pup with a baseball bat, cause he just felt like it. he broke 2 of my dogs legs. he even brought it to court.. saying my dog always attacks him... my dog weighs like 15 pound chihuahua, he couldn't harm a fly. he want to get my dog put down... crazies these days.2010-12-12 21:12:00

Oooh, sorry to hear that.

The worst I've seen was on the way home from school once, there was this tabby cat just standing there, and this irritating kid, complete [insert bad word] of a person, decides to scream at it for a few cheap laughs. I scares me a bit because it was in the same area my cat goes in, I hope no-one's done anything to her. Basically, people have no respect for anything or anyone these days. We had a talk at school about knife crime, which highlighted that (I won't go into detail, you can probably guess why).

Isnt it strange how you can see that kind of attitude develop in people? The kids who squashed insects in Primary School.

I'm fine when my mate tries to hit a pidgeon with a rock in mid-flight......coz, well...I've seen him throw before. Stick with the football daz

Now that's just as cruel as pointless. Makes me worry about my cat. My neighbor even talked about some people who offer poisoned food for cats that walk on the street. She said that they do that because when the cats walk in front of their house, the dogs bark like crazy. People like this don't have a mind.

Always sorry to hear about someone losing a pet. Even without the intervention of some sick individual the average lifespan of an outdoor cat is significantly shorter than an indoor one...which is why the SPCA strongly recommends that all cats be indoor only. If you do get another cat I hope you'll consider keeping it indoors, they are perfectly happy inside. My initial reaction to the broken spine would have been hit by a car...not hit by a pipe...2010-12-13 22:54:00

Hmm... I can't say I've had any experience with this sort of thing; however I know someone who did...

My mate once brought a limping cat in from the street and took it to the vet. They told him it had a broken leg, and so he and his family raised it back to full health. They kept the cat as their own and provided it with warmth and shelter etc... One night (fairly recently, actually...) there was a loud bang and a huge crash; the next morning they found it limping again, and as it walked through the house it left a trail of blood...

It turns out the cat had been shot by their neighbour, the previous owner ofthe cat... Note it was an air rifle, but still... :/

Naturally there was quite a bit of commotion, and the father of my mate had quite a few stern words with their neighbor...

So yh I see where you're coming from, I only wish you could find the culprit and have a few "stern words" with him...

Sorry for the loss of your furry friend :/

No, it wasn't a car.
There is no Street nearby and besides that, a car would've caused
more injuries.
It was 'only' his spine.
The vet told me it must've been a clean hit with some kinda pipe or anything like that.
And there is a guy...he complained about Jerry.
Said he walked in his Garden, or in his Garage.

Cats do stuff like that. They are curious about everything.
If i ever find out who it was...i'll..well...
Please forgive me for what i'm gonna do then.

Really....am I the only person that lives in a safe area? Some of this stuff is messed up. So much for society
Don't jump the possibility that all of these cruel individuals were merely caught up in such tales as the ChupaCabra and simply defending their goats.

We've always owned cats.

About 10 years ago one of our cats died because some pikey with 'learning disabilities' from across the dodgy side of the village decided to come and hit her round a lamppost. He was playing hooky from school and there were eyewitnesses that saw him but he got let off the hook. (He wasn't that special needs really, just a thug)

Another one of our cats was shot by an air gun too, however he lived to a ripe old age anyway.

I know how horrible it is to know that an actual person did something so needlessly evil to a loved one, and you have my sympathy.

Oh, that's horrible! I think that some people have never owned cats, so don't understand the unconditional love a cat gives, and how they are missed.

It's never really 'just a cat.'

A cat is your sister or brother.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

To be honest, I do have a sort of confession to make: I shoot my street's stray cats/dogs. I don't actually kill them, God's sakes no! I just use an airsoft gun, and it's only to scare them away from my trash (they make a lot of mess). Other than that, I hate harming animals (and some insects) and have no intention of doing to much damage; a few welts on them wouldn't bother me much.

Other than that, I think the guy/girl is just a pathetic no life. I understand someone hurting an animal who's attacking them, but hurting an animal for fun was just stupid.

Sorry about all of your pets guys, Those sick ******** who attack or kill animals, can i say ******** on this website? Eh.

I remember when my pet mouse died, Dad put his container up on a chair and forgot to put the clip on, so the cat knocked it over and eated the poor little thing.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have had to put a cat of mine down before, and I know it is heart breaking. But to put your friend down because of the evil of another? I can imagine that would be so much worse. The unfortunate thing is, humans have the capacity for both good and evil, but animals only have the capacity for good. I agree with what someone else said, "animals>humans".

My boyfriend one day was walking in the streets of NY, and notcied in an alley, that some kids were hurting a small kitten. My bf threatened the kids and made them give him the kitten, who was severely injured. The vet said he wouldn't live, but he did. He is now 10 years old.
I am also looking after a litter of kittens that live outside my house in a drain pipe. They attract a lot of unneeded attention. I have had to go outside before and intimidate the children to leave the kittens alone.
All cats and animals need to be protected from the bad people out there.

I lost my cat earlier this year he had an illness but it is still heart breaking when your pet dies and whoever met that blow is a senseless low life and should not have done that.
Again sorry for your loss.
