Hi there, I just got LBP 2 beta, and I'm not sure how everything works yet, but I've stumbled across a major problem. Due to technical difficulties with internet and accounts, I had to copy my LBP 1 profile to another account. Now that I've joined LBP 2, it won't let me transfer my data because I've "copied" the profile already. I really would like a way to make this work. I don't mind if trophies won't work for me or something, but I've spent 100 + hours on my profile, with so many costumes saved, and 100 percent collected content and pods and what not. If there is no way around this, then I would really appreciate it if I could find a way to contact the LBP 2 beta and let them know about this. Thank you for the help in advance, and I really hope my profile will be able to transfer.

Worth letting them know about this, in case it transfers to the real game. They might have something in place to prevent using saves downloaded off the internet and cutting into retroactive sales of LBP1 as a material/costume/sticker/sound/music pack for LBP2... but if there's any way to discern ownership via psn tagging, it would probably be good for people who've backed up their hard drives before.

If you still have LBP, I believe you can just jump into LBP1, backup your profile, and then go back into the Beta. Your LBP profile should be visible by either hitting "Import LittleBigPLanet Objects" or "Import Profile". Trust me, I had this problem before, too. The game takes a file from the pre-Leerdammer patch, the one where they switched the way LBP saves data. :SH:

I've tried that though, it doesn't import the LBP 1 profile because it's been "copied" from another account. Even though that account is my own from my own PS3 too.

I'm having the exact same problem crazysky. I'll let you know if I have any luck. Update: I was able to go back into LBP1 and back up my data. Then, I just imported my old profile. I lost a few things from my Beta profile, but at least I have all of my old stuff now.

I lost a few things from my Beta profile, but at least I have all of my old stuff now. Cant you just Back Up your profile in LBP1 then Import Collected Objects? Or do you HAVE to import the profile in order to get the costumes and etc? :SH:

I can't import my profile, I can't even import objects from LBP 1 because I've copied it from another account on my own PS3. It won't allow me and keeps saying "cannot import copied profile" and what not.

nope, I backed up more profiles than that and it still won't work.
