Build a Sackboy Crown Contest - Voting

Archive: 17 posts

Due to the disappearance of ARD recently I've had to find a winner for the contest myself, which turned out to be impossible.

So, I've opened up a public poll over on SackHQ. Head over there and cast your vote, remember the winner will be winning a prize crown.

Link (http://sackhq.co.cc/forums/showthread.php?tid=78&pid=546#pid546).

Also, the poll will be open as long as it takes to get enough results. So if you want results soon, spread the word, tweet it, post it on other forums etc, whatever floats your boat.

*hoping this doesn't end up with like 3 votes*

Just looked at the entries and thought:

That's another cool competition I missed

Also I had realised that I need to make a sackhq profile so I will make one soon (hopefully if the ninjas that took ARD dont get to me first):star:

I'm not part of the forum, so I can't vote apparently, so if you can count my vote here, would that be ok?

Anywho, my vote would go for Strangepom, the limb proportions were great, it even had clothes made for it, and a crown, very well made in itself, and didn't go with the deafult skin, which made it seem more like an actual custom sackboy, and those pics of his son(?) playing with it, show how it actually can be played with as an actual sackboy toy, so even if he doesn't win a crown, he still has his very own sackboy, and the details such as the stitches in its head were really good too, I can trully see that entree as a true 'sackperson' doll tbh.

Well done, very nice entree Strangepom.

dr-booty's only seems to have same-color skin as "default" sackboy, but the proportions were kinda off on everything, pretty good, tho I would rank this one 3rd after S.Pom's custom Sackboy and PSYNTENS's Druid.

Glad someone brought this up again tho, would've hate to see some of the things people made go unrewarded.

I've added your vote to the poll, although I'd rather not do that too much because it can lead to poll cheating.

Yes you can vote for yourself.

By the way, I've had to add someone to the poll late (they did enter the contest on time, they just PM'd Cogmonkey and I didn't realise), so please check and if you wanna change your vote I can do that for you.

Oh another thing, I'm getting the vibe that people aren't voting because they don't want to sign up? Is there a reason for that? It's just I'd rather not give a crown to someone who wins a contest where very few people voted.

I tried to join up, but I can't see half the site (no, literally; the right hand side of the site is a grey and slightly darker shade of grey stripy montage thing....) so I couldn't click the register button.

What browser are you using? This seems to happen if you're using Google Chrome and you're not signed in, for some reason. Try using a different browser to sign up, then you can switch back to another browser.

Safari, the same thing happens when I'm on my ipod though... (also safari...)

I might try that, but other browsers have a bad habit of being rubbish so um....

Maybe just don't want to join since all they are to be joining for is to vote... sometimes people view that as too much hassle.

I mean you have an IP filter set up so why not open it to non-registered users too

I thought about that, but no Admin CP access means I can't do that.

Edit: Ignore the above, guests can vote in polls now.

Edit 2: And now they can't again because that allowed people to vote infinitely.

Edit 3: Ok, I can't make guests be allowed to vote because that for some reason makes you be able to vote as many times as you want, which would be silly. But now you don't have to activate your account to vote, how's that?

It's already over.

And the reason I kept the poll on SackHQ was because that way it's easier to moderate.
