hey, so i have the move and the new game that sony just sent out. I've played a few levels and gotten some of the bubbles. but they're called "Special Bubbles" and from i see have no purpose. You don't get anything from them and they don't connect to LBP1. Is there a purpose to these pink S bubbles?

I'm pretty sure they do nothing. I'm guessing that this was originally intended as LBP2 DLC, but for whatever reason didn't work out, so they decided to release it as a standalone game rather than us get a DLC-less Christmas. Since MM already had this done, they just left the bubbles, but had them do nothing.

I'm guessing they'll have something in them when they come out with LBP2, but they probably don't want you to have the stuff yet
