The Unknown Depths of the Cavernous CatacombsSX_shookie99 The locals have been complaining about strange noises coming from the catacombs. Its time for Detective Sack to investigate. This is my entry for LBN's Sack to the Future SciFi competition. Hey all. Its shookie (creator of the Honey Hive Series) here to tell you about my latest and most ambitious level...one I have put more time in than any other level. Explore the catacombs to discover what is really going on in the unknown depths. Just about everything you could want in a level: platforming, story, a few puzzles, two boss fights, etc. After many hours (probably over 80) and many people beta testing the level it is pretty much ready. I can't publish it until Dec 10th but it should be up right after midnight. Feedback is much appreciated and especially anyone who could provide feeback between now and Dec 12th (last day to make changes). Thanks to all who helped with testing and I hope you like it. Also this will lead into my next level called The Mysterious Mines of Misfortune 2. My great and wonderful friend Nirvana has promised to upload pictures for me, so thanks grrl you are epic!

Very fun level you've got here! I really enjoyed it, although the theme felt more like a building of sorts than a cave. The only grief I had was the second boss. I felt the time it took to kill him was very long, and I think it would be a lot smoother if the paintinator switches took less shots. Other than that, it was a very fun level, good luck with the contest!

I played your level last night with some friends. I thought you nailed the ambiance and mood of a catacomb setting. The lighting was great. I would have liked a little more platforming and a x4 section but we had a great time with it. Also, the bosses were pretty fun. I gave it 4 stars and a heart.

great job, solid story, 2 bosses were a nice challenge, only real problem was with knowing how many times to do something, add a perenent switch to the 4 buttons before the last boss and on the scorpion i wasn't sure how to kill it at first i thought to keep grabbing a single spot. overall great job:star::star::star::star:<3

Thanks everyone for the feedback! If the only negative is the long title then I'm okay with that. A few more updates should really polish it up. Thanks to Trindall for the video as well. Also, any other feedback would be great. It currently stands at 540 hearts and over 4700 plays. A lot of people agree its my best level to date. Wish me luck in the competition! Thanks again!

This is a REALLY good level, easily your best yet. The visual style was perfect, fit very well with the ancient crypt/steam punk theme. The gameplay was VERY good, it was diverse and at no point repetitive, and even the final boss which was a clich?d paint gun fight was really well done. You really gave this level your all, and I'm getting the idea there will be a sequel. (YAY!) 5 stars and a heart!

Hey sackracer thanks for the feedback! Still no word yet about the results of the competition though! I am still satisfied with the level and its success even if I don't win or place. Any other feedback is greatly appreciated.

Hey there. Yup, pretty good. Getting better! I only had a few minor layer switching annoyances, but they wern't a big deal. My biggest suggestion is for the final boss. Perhaps decrease the amount of ammo it takes for each limb, and stop each emitter after you destroy that part of the body.

Oh! I played this yesterday it was a great fun level, loved all the game play parts. It's just the boss that took aaaages to kill >_> and the plasma balls are a bit sudden, hardly any time to react to them.

Hey everyone thanks for all the feedback. I am glad to see that everyone liked it for the most part. Furthermore, this level is completely playable in lbp2, so if you have not checked it out yet and you already have lbp2, then feel free to give it a go.
