"Dashing through the snow, to the Union Freight we go!!"

Were back at Steam City but this time we visit a small supply company known as Union Freight. Snow and Christmas spirit abroad, you venture to work like any other day. But today is of great importance, your goal is to deliver precious cargo, the 'Great Tree'. The 'Great Tree' is what brings Christmas to the bustling city but unfortunately, something goes terribly wrong just before you arrive at your work station. The city's villain 'Machiniac' has just stolen the 'Great Tree' and it's up to you to evade his ruthless thugs and reclaim the tree to save Christmas in Steam City.

Graphically TFSC: Union Freight is perhaps one of the best levels I have seen to date. The addition of snow fit very well and certainly gave off that Christmas feel. If you had an opportunity to play other Steam City levels by Blanchrocker, you will see how the winter season is in full effect. The details of the trams to the bedroom you awake in, is all very believable. Not only is the graphical presentation phenomenal, but Blanchrocker brings us a cinematic experience that is executed to precision, something of a rare feat in Little Big Planet. All use of materials was done brilliantly and the addition of stickers was spot on. The use of the 3D glitch was done perfectly and vastly improved upon in previous levels.

Sounds and Music is done very well. Every vent or duct you push aside has the genuine sound of being moved against a metal surface. The trams and even the thugs vehicles had excellent sound. The cinematic masterpiece has the intense sound as your train is derailed and smashes through a building.

Gameplay is fun and inviting for a crowd of all ages. If you are more of the serious gamer, it will more than likely be on the easy side for you and have you wanting more. Especially towards the end where you reclaim your stolen cargo, it can be done with no effort as the storyline carries this one to its end. This is not entirely a bad thing as it opens up for a sequel that fans of the like have certainly expressed interest in. Other than traveling from point A to point B, you will find no challenge here. This is certainly more driven by the story that Blanchrocker created than anything else and it was done in a humorous manner, not taking itself too seriously.

Final Thoughts: This level still has my daughters wishing to go back and play again. I believe from my family alone, there has been at least 10 plays at a minimum. During that time I have noticed additional details as well as details left out, but for the overall conclusion, this is a must play. Even if your that die hard gamer, it's worth another travel through Steam City, even if its gameplay does not live up to it's predecessor, it will certainly charm you and have you in awe as it brings that cinematic experience that again, so many have tried and failed. This is a fantastic level and can only be more appreciated if Blanchrocker makes good on his word and makes that sequel...

"...however im gonna make a short level soon that will show the proper 'unseen' ending that i originally wanted..." Blanchrocker

Hmmm, another quote I will hold onto!! I really enjoyed the levels Blanchrocher, your work is very good and will surely be one of the first to dive back into Steam City when it gets published.....so no rush....or anything....just take your time....
