Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves Review.

Archive: 9 posts

IGN have recently posted a review of the small stand-alone.

I haven't tried the game myself yet, as I don't have a PS Move, but I guess it can serve as an OK filler until we get LBP 2 for those who have... If you are one of the ones who get the game for free, I don't see why you wouldn't try it out

It is really good, there are about 10 levels and 4 or 5 challenge levels, it's very LBP 1 and makes for some nice coop action which seems to be currently missing from games nowadays, the costumes are awesome and I wish transferred to LBP1, there are a male and female caveman, a dinosaur with broken shell pieces and a baby Dino skeleton one too. Well worth the download IMO, look forward to being able to create my own move based levels in LBP2 (fingers crossed)2010-12-11 21:29:00

I'd have to agree with everything you said, and the IGN review was pretty fair. Its the first thing I really enjoyed with our move controller. The levels are very pretty, and I found many of the platforming elements to be innovative (although not terribly challenging). Since my wife signed up for ps plus we got it for free--all win at my house.

It is very weird playing dressed like someone else, and with a crippled poppit. I wanted so badly at times to peel some of the new stickers off and see them better.

I hope the costumes, stickers, decorations, and new materials make it out as DLC--especially the mosquito decoration(?) and the beautiful weathered sandstone material most everything is built on.

Yeah, I really loved these levels. The move adds a bunch of new gameplay elements to LBP. Cannot wait until the promised expansion of move with LBP2 comes out. It makes for some great co-op gameplay.

Of course, its sad that currently all the costumes, objects made for the game are off-limits for normal LBP.

Oh the thread has been moved to the [LBP2]?
I just figured as SPM runs on the original LBP engine, it would be most fitting to start the thread in the LBP-section of the forum...
Well more people will probably see it in this section anyway

If it comes with LBP2, I'll just get it then, though it'll be weird playing it if it still has the LBP1 engine.2010-12-18 14:22:00
