scoring emitters explosions help

hey, guys and girls i have been messing around on lbp2 for some time trying to work this out but hitting a brick wall, the idea i have is to attempt to make some kind of a shooter game, so the idea would be to have a ship to fly and to shoot things that come ur way and when u shoot them they explode and give you points, a fairly simple concept so far i have worked out most of it but hitting a brick wall with this part which is where hopefully the awesome community comes in to help me, i understand connecting a tag sensor to a or switch and connecting the or switchs inputs to a score giver and explosion means that when the object with the tag sensor meets the tag, and or swich, it should blow up the object it meets and giving a score. but the problem i got is in my level idea i will be emitting objects that i end up shooting, but when its emiited that object isnt connected to any tag or or switch i tried connecting the object im emitting to thease switches then capturing it and then emiiting it but it still doesnt give a score or explode when it meets the object with all the score giver and or switch on, hope i not being to confusing but in short, i need an object i emmit to explode and give a score when it meets a projectile that i shoot from, a air craft, but the emmited projectile and emmited enemys come out unconnected to anything, so i struggling to work this out any help appreciated | 2010-12-07 18:47:00 Author: SnakeEaterDan Posts: 5 |
OK, for this I would use impact sensors. On your object you want to emit put a microchip. On the microchip put an impact sensor, a destroyer, and a score giver. Hook the impact switch to the destroyer, and the score giver. Set the impact switch to require tag. Set your tag color, and label if you use one. Set include touching to yes. Set your destroyer to the desired effect. On your projectile put the corresponding tag. Make sure the label matches if you use one. I would use holo for the projectile. Just put the same setup you put on the emitted object minus the score giver. That way it disappears when it hits the object. You just have to use a different color tag.
