Switch To Press Left To Go Left and A True Mario Coin Box

Archive: 5 posts

Hello hello hello LBPC fans. Welcome to the Cryogenics Lab. What is the Cryogenics Lab you ask? Well it has no website and was created just now......... Applause.

"Thank you, Thank you." *Bows*

Although it might go obsolete in LBP2, I feel this invention can still be quite handy. You tell me.

In my lvl:

Technologies (forgot the whole name)

What I want you to pay attention to the most is the truck, yes yes yes, the robot is all good and fine, but the truck, that is a work of machinery. Well anyways, if you do play the lvl, you will notice at first the truck looks all simple. BUT, if you happen to hop into this little baby, you will see how it is different. And here's how I made it.

First you turn on your PS3, not 360, but your P...S...3.

First you make a rectangular area that is hollowed out big enough for your sackboy. And you copy and make it into a thin layer in back of the other. Glue them.

Then, you cut the bottom off of the 1-layer part, NOT THE THIN LAYER.

Position a cylindrical RUBBER (I find it works best) in front of the thin layer. The rubber wheel MUST be small enough to rotate and big enough to where sackboy won't fall through.

Attach the rubber wheel to the thin layer via bolt.

Then attach a small narrow thin piece of material (metal to reposition, card board to stay) to the rubber wheel via glue.

Then (could be lastly, your choice) position color sensor nodes (my mind went blank) as showed in the picture to finish.

Now. You can use this in many inventions, whether you want to make a vehicle move or use it in a switch to do other things, your choice. On my truck I simulated a more realistic feeling by applying a 3-way switch with wenches and other logic. Honestly though, vehicles are cool and all but pointless if they take up 3-layers, or aren't very versatile.

I must apologize for the cave man drawing but our budget is low right now, so if you donate 5$ to the......... Just kidding. No need to give anyone in this organization money. Just your joy.

Another of my inventions is the True Mario Coin Box (TMCB).

It's found in the same lvl, but not sure if anyone cares for it. So I guess say whether or not you want to hear more about it.

It goes up when you press it, and if you stand besides it, it won't go up (If you know what I'm talking about), and it's a 4x4 square (small grid).

Tell me what you think. Later guys, and the lab is now shutting down. *Psst, clank, smash*

Your post is very entertaining, but I found myself wishing you'd just get to the point.... but yeah, still fun to read It's always nice to see people realize that vehicles ought to have better controls than just "hold R1 to drive" (or all the weird R1+right, R1+left, etc combinations).

To see some of the advances in left/right control technology, check out Rtm's wheeley good switches (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=12211-UPDATED-Like-Hamster-Wheels-You-ll-love-my-Wheeley-Good-Switches-vid), and my vehicle tools (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=22150-Vehicle-tools-Tilt-and-motion-sensor-and-control-pod-%28Copyable%29) (basically mine is one of Rtm's switches compressed into one thick and one thin layer) and feel free to check out some (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=33647-Monocycle) of my vehicles (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=27374-Most-Advanced-Bipedal-Mech-in-LBP-VT-5A-Lightning-Now-with-Prize) to see the controls in action

I'm gonna be honest m8, as much as I'm forth for a good joke, there is such as thing as dragging it too long, I didn't bother to fisnish reading that because the post seemesd more like you just wanted to post a joke than an object, and I'm sure some others will most likely do the same.

Not trying to be rude, just advising it to not go around the main point too much or others may become uninterested.
You know what they say, when it comes to jokes, the shorter the better.
