There are levels that are an absolute joy to play with memorable moments. Those moments leave you in a trance as if you were a little kid staring up at the sky at a grand firework display for the very first time. Then there are those levels that are similar to the first time tasting that atrocious dish that your mother decided to make because it was 'healthy'. Slumber Wonderland falls closer to the healthy conscious meal my mother made me eat as a child.

Graphically Slumber Wonderland was something that looked as if you put all the stickers and objects from your popit menu and placed them in a shake & bake bag and shook the living daylights out of it. It's confusing if that was the intention of the creator when making this level. It was apparent that objects of this and that were intentional to a degree, but to a grander scale of the level, it just leaves you scratching your head. Stickers were placed sporadically on objects and there was no consistency or atmosphere created.

Sounds and Music was another thing that appeared to be overlooked. It's quite amazing how music and the graphic presentation play hand & hand. In this case where no atmosphere was created, it simply didn't have the ability to do it with the music as well. Environmental sounds were fairly absent, however the characters did produce a vocal sound that matched them appropriately.

Gameplay was something of a unique one. The level offered little to no direction and made your objective a complete mystery. There was really no satisfaction going through the level and no challenge in what your sackperson had to overcome. There is also plenty of places to get stuck and your forced to pop your character and go back to a checkpoint.

Final Thoughts: Slumber Wonderland needs work to be blunt. There is no polish and a story that has you shaking your head and poor mechanics. It appears that the level was thrown together and had no time to tighten up any loose ends in the process. The corner editor tool was entirely absent in this level which makes me believe that the creator has yet to learn how to use the LBP tools and all the associated tweaks you can do. With more time and effort put into individualized sections of the level, it could be worth a play. Unfortunately as it sits, it needs some TLC.

I rate Slumber Wonderland :star::star:

Thanks for the review. I guess my levels are a little too cluttered. But I'd rather have more than less...

I think this was the second level I made lol so yeah it is kinda of rough. But It does have a story, even if it is hard to play.
Well, I'll take the advice I guess.

I would certainly use the F4F (Feedback for Feedback) in the Level Showcase part of these forums. It's where you can get several people to play your level and offer valuable feedback. Not only that, but give you valuable play tests to find what parts people can get stuck in and what parts of the story may not make sense to them as well as simple suggestions. It's rather an invaluable system. Certainly check it out, I believe it will help you out as a creator as much as its helped me and the hundreds of others creators who have learned to utilize it...

I hope your not put off by the review, it's made and designed to be honest with out the fluff, so hopefully you can take it from what it is and grow from it in a positive manner. If you need a play tester, hit me up and I will do what I can and offer feedback. Take care and keep the levels coming
